This replaces a 10" portable--what a difference. The sound could be a tad louder, but that's okay because I'm using a speaker system. I haven't really used the battery yet.It stays plugged in. The best thing of all is the multi region format, now I can watch my foreign movies without tying up the family TV. Up date on speakers, before I plugged in my system, I watched a Led Zeppelin concert--had to lower the volume. Speakers are a 5. Purchased Feb 2019, stopped working Dec 20,2019 Disc no read.
Instead of opting for the 12 months extra warranty I thought I would right a an honest 2-3 star review. Picture as long as you are not viewing at off angles to the screen it’s pretty good. Only played about 3 hours so far it took five hours to recharge. The “REMOTE” you can throw it in the trash! 44 child finger size buttons that are impossible to read only in the best of light with 20/15 version. It is hard to find the sweet spot to make it work the player.
First let me say I have had this player for a short period. My commebts are based on that plus not having any experience to speak of on these players. It came boxed well, design looks good. First off the remote is so small its impossibile to use if it worked. The on board controls are confusing and the instruction manual is third rate. The picture is dark but that might because of trying to watch "Yellowstone." the settings have to be reset for each disk and its just an ordeal. I plan to stay with up and will report if my experience inproves.
The picture quality I pretty good, as is the sound. However, the overall feel is stiff and clunky. It doesn't have the features I'm used to, like remaining battery life and video time elapsed. The remote was barely functional, but I did find OSD -- on-screen display showing time elapsed. Probably fine for kids. Gave mine away.
I like the size of the screen. The picture quality is poor considering we are in the year 2019. But all we use it for is home schooling. I wouldn’t recommend it for regular movie watching if you’re used to stellar quality. It is cheaply made. I don’t foresee it lasting all school year but we’ll see!
Works fine, only complaint is you have to be looking at it straight on. If you try to view it at an angle, you cannot see anything because the screen is very dark. I bought it for our camper. I should have just bought a tv and DVD player. Also can’t find a mount to properly fit this size.
I had to send my first one back after the first use, the carriage kept stopping in the same spot & the player froze. I tried multiple discs & the same thing happened. The company was very helpful & exchange was not a problem. New one seems to be working so far.
I like the product but the problem is the battery life easily exhausted- I charged overnight, later I removed the plug when I come back after 6 to 8 hours when I play it, it lasted for 25 to 30 minutes of watching and dead.
