The second one that I bought, a Halo II, wasn't so great. Like others have commented, the yellow sweat channel started to separate from the band after just a few times in the wash. And the Halo label started coming off also. That being said, I just stitched the sweat channel to the headband and it has worked great for years ever since.
So in the end, I am still a fan of the product, and I recommend it. I just think Halo needs to consider changing the way that the sweat channel is connected to the headband. And those of you that do buy a Halo II, take a few minutes with a needle and some thread to stitch the sweat channel to the headband, and it will remain a go-to part of your athletic gear for years.
I live on the Florida Gulf Coast. Late Spring, Summer and Early Fall temps/humidity can be quite warm (hot, really!). These are perfect conditions for heavy sweating when working (or breathing) out-of-doors.
I bought two HALO II headbands, hoping they would "reduce" sweat from constantly getting into my eyes (causing burning, irritation; introducing grit, dust, pollen, bacterial, etc) and dripping onto my glasses.
To date, they have worked PERFECTLY. "Gallons" of sweat on my head. ZERO issues with eyes or glasses.
On me they provide a "Snug" fit. (I wear XXL size hats.) I get used to the fit. And, I prefer "snug and dry eyes" to "loose and ...."
Oh, probably good for exercising outside as well
*** I purchased a Halo a few years ago at a health expo. Worked great then. Still works great now! I would recommend this product to anybody who sweats a lot while running.
