I make my iced lattes by mixing about a tbsp into one espresso shot and mixing it so incorporate it thoroughly (the thick sauce mixes easily into the hot espresso). I then IMMEDIAETLY pour this on top of milk (I dont measure but i probably use 3/4 cup of milk). If I want to further sweeten I use either Monin caramel/vanilla syrup (taste before adding extra sweetness). Finally I add some ice and mix for about 20 seconds to make the drink more cold.
If you want to add another espresso shot, I dont reccommend doubling the sauce as it might become too sweet and overpowering. Also, pour espresso over milk first not ice (less dilution).
I believe this adds a much more authentic caramel flavour than the caramel syrup by monin. Having said that they do pair really nicely together.
