To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I bought 2 pairs of these. They've been working flawlessly for two months, through walls to the garage... Video and audio is perfect, but the IR remote control pass-through keeps disconnecting, so I cannot use this feature. Otherwise a great product. I recommend it.
Works great as long as you don't turn off the TV. I have two of these systems and I love them except for one small flaw. The receivers like to frequently go to sleep or whatever when I turn off the tv. Signal strength is good and no breakup when using them, but over 75% of the time I have to power cycle the receiver after turning on the TV and finding a blank screen and not the satellite screensaver that I should see. The satellite receiver is always outputting signal and I never turn off the transmitter side of this system. I don't even turn off the receiver but like I said above, more than 3/4 the time I get a blank screen and need to unplug and plug in the power to the receiver at the TV. I called tech support and they said there is no 'sleep' or 'power saving mode' by design that would cause the receiver to go to sleep when it detects (through the HDMI) that the TV is off. Since I have two identical systems from them and both behave this way, I have to think it's a design flaw that they have not owned up to or acknowledge. Make sure when you are hiding the receiver and power that you have access to one or the other so you can power cycle it unless you leave your tv on 24/7
Setup was easy but it was downhill from there. The units need to be rebooted very often which is a deal breaker for me. Other reviews have complained about the same issue and I was hopeful there was a new firmware version which would solve it but there isn't (18.104.22.168 is the latest). There was a review from Chris S. on April 30, 2016 which complained about the same issue and cited the same firmware version. I'm going with a different brand...
