This component is a GOD SEND. The ability to use such an old tv tech and be able to convert it and still be used on new systems such as my Computer is amazing.

Currently I use it as a second monitor and have had no worries at all with this purchase or usage. With a month into the purchase I'm glad I made this decision instead of buying a new monitor that would just fit the DVIs.

Having moved, the size of my new desk offered me the opportunity to use an older screen as a second display.
I looked long and hard for a device that would give me the best result on a 1600x1200 display and that turned out to be this device.
As usual, Amazon delivered it promptly, and I've not been disappointed with the adaptor. It connects as the second output from my graphics card (which is already handling a 2560x1600 display and now I've added the second screen (albeit at a lower resolution) I'm well pleased.
I hope you will be too - if you ever have need to use one of these adaptors!

Bought a Nvidia GTX 1050 TI SC 4Gb card and discovered that the displayport had changed over the years and was no longer compatible with standard VGA or DVI adapters, purchased this item and within 3 minutes had it up and running, brilliant piece of kit, just plug and play, my only gripe is that i wish the manufacturers would highlight the issue on the box or include an adapter but that would be too easy wouldn't it ?

upgraded my graphics card to an asus 1050ti 4gb and all the dvi converters i had were not the correct ones, this is compatable and works well up to 1080p on my monitor (as high as it will go)
just a plug and play dongle and just works
this also enabled me to play hdcp content ie. blurays etc.. which i could not before, don't know if its the dongle or the graphics card but it's a bonus
