While book one broke my heart, book two is so raw it draws you inn, I couldn’t function, I yelled in frustration, I cried in heartbreak!
Beginning to understand Hardin, his why and his journey to becoming a better person is an emotional roller coaster of epic proportions!
I hated who he was and what he did but Anna Todd has developed his character so well, you can’t help but love him even while you scream at him in your head over his actions!
5 absolutely amazing gold 🌟

I enjoyed the first few chapters then everything just got so repetitive. I hates how toxic the relationship was between hardin and tessa and honestly the stupid things Tessa would do just to get back at hardin. I am angry at myself for wasting money purchasing this book because I couldn't stand it. Even when I skipped right through to oil 70% or 90% I didn't even miss the plot twist becusse you could just see where the story was going. I wouldn't want to read the first book or 4th after this.

You know all those 50 shades haters comments on controlling manipulative etc. behaviour, they should be directed at these stupid characters not ana and christian who's story was epic, and totally respectful.
Worst book i've ever read for a few points.
#1 MC is an idiot but is apparently smart
#2 MC also likes being a doormat apparently and has not one sense of self in any of these books
#3 Her lover has not one redeeming quality within him - nor has he from the beginning
#4 She loves him unconditionally and irrevocably for absolutely no reason she just does
#5 Some s*** is unforgivable and theres no chance in hell anyone as smart as MC apparently is would take being treated like s***, being used and betted on and still stay and love the man with not one ounce of vulnerability.
I actually wish for one of them to die but I know that they'll end up together defying all odds (yes thats because no one is that idiotic) and spend the rest of their life fighting daily, hardin (love interest) bashing people for looking her way etc. and god forbid in future books she have a child because the man is also a kid hater who may be redeemed but I can guarantee in real life he would despise any child he'd have for stealing "what's his"
What a disgrace, I'm embarrassed to have bought it and continued with their story. Also the plot sucks.

The beginning kept me reading for awhile but then it just became repetitive they just kept repeating the same mistakes however I also didn’t like how everyone was always blaming Hardin for every break up when Tessa just seemed to be as bad talk about naive She couldn’t even tell when a guy had the hots for her or was using her to piss off Harden, whom was too forgiving ... both characters annoyed me and I definitely won’t be buying the other books in the series .

Enjoyed the first book but this book felt like it dragged on. I couldn’t wait for it to be finished. The treatment of the female character is awful and borderline abusive which was hard to get pass. Honestly wanted to punch Harden out so many times he became so annoying.
Would I bother reading the next in the series. No.
Would I waste $13 again. No.

This series hooks you in from the start.
Wow. I started this book at midnight because I finished book one and wanted to follow the story through. Needless to say four hours later I finished book two, downloaded three but knew I had to try get at least two hours sleep before waking for work. Tessa and Hardin's story is so crazy but the hopeless romantic in you can't imagine any life they may have without each other. Fabulous, fabulous book. Highly highly recommended. I wish there was more than just four books in this series. Loved it, thank you Anna for bringing this story to light.

Of course Tessa and Hardin get into it again. I'm kinda over all the back and forth but at the same time these books are pretty addictive. I sure wouldn't put up with being treated that way (yes Tess was in the wrong sometimes but Hardin is a million times worse) but at the same time I keep rooting for them to make it work. I didn't expect that ending and I also keep waiting for the proverbial poop to hit the fan when Tess tells Hardin her impeding plans. I don't think I can stop here.
So, book 3?
Of course I know the answer - I going to continue reading til I get to the end of this damned series, just to see if they get their happily ever after.

Left me feeling unsure.

Book one left me really disliking Hardin. In book two he does more of the same promises to never hurt her again and then breaks that promise. Tessa is not without her faults though, she reacts in not the Best way when she thinks he has betrayed her. This book is much like the first, their happy, they fight, their miserable and get back together until it starts to get a bit old and irritating. Turns out there's another book! Will this be another chance for the author to drag out this irritating routine for another three hundred or so pages because if so then I will be severely disappointed. I hate when authors drag a storyline out in order to sell more books. In short Tessa and Hardin are annoying and this book left me tired and irritated.

I have given After We Collided by Anna Todd five out of five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hardin and Tessa continue their journey of great highs and terrible lows and I have never felt more invested in a fictional relationship since Twilight! My emotions have been pulled, twisted and trampled on. I’ve been left with an open wound thanks to Anna Todd’s cliffhangers at the end of each book. Once again, Todd has left me wanting so much more from this toxic relationship!
Once again, Anna Todd has left me wanting so much more from this toxic relationship! I found it so difficult to put this book down and now I have no choice but to wait until I can continue to carry on reading this steamy, toxic relationship because I only ordered the rest of the book series at the end of last week, they should be arriving at the end of the week (I hope!). I need to know what happens ASAP!
After We Collided picks straight back up from the moment we’re finished with After, no gaps of events, no chunks missing of information just simply delving straight back into the whirlwind of Hardin and Tessa’s relationship. Only this time, we get chapters from both Hardin and Tessa’s POV, in the first book we only get to understand the relationship from one side, Tessa’s. I think it was very clever of Anna Todd to split the chapters between Hardin and Tessa as it was so important to read events which happen from Hardin’s point of view as well. You get to see him in a whole different light and Tessa too. Multiple narratives makes everything more fairly-rounded and helps the reader to not judge the opposing character as much, as you’re able to read all about their thoughts.
There’s no doubt about it, I definitely prefer the books to the movies. Especially due to the amount of extra detail we get to absorb about the secondary characters, story line and twists. It makes me even more excited to pick up the rest of the series. Although it feels like the movies are keeping to the majority of the story line in the books, there are so many events that happen in the books which the movies completely avoided which I was quite surprised by as there are other love interests which I think should have had airtime and become a part of the on screen experience.
There is so much negativity surrounding this series and although I can understand why a lot of people are upset with how they believe this series is glamourising toxicity and abusive relationships, I’d like to think that it’s showing the change in which people can do. Trying to be better, trying to change for the better for not only their partners but for themselves as well. I’m hoping the third book will really outshine the abuse and toxicity (fingers crossed!) as Hardin and Tessa are so so so good when they’re good and it makes my heart do a little flutter when you get to see the glimpse of “shy” Hardin and his soft side. I really hope if you pick up this page-turning series, you feel the same way and that you get to enjoy their relationship (for what it is).
If you really want to feel immersed in the world of Hardin and Tessa I would recommend (if you have Spotify) to search ‘Hardin Scott Playlist’, to all of the people who have created on of these playlists, thank you. The lyrics really spoke to me about their relationship and it made everything even more emotional, which I didn’t think was possible.
I would recommend this series of books to anyone who enjoys reading new adult books with complicated love interests, steamy and intimate scenes in a college/university setting.

Just gets better

I read the first book in the series After, and I was immediately hooked. The story drew me in and I found myself needing to know where Tessa and Hardin would end up. I'm now on the fourth book in the series, I have felt such an emotional connection to this story, because this is real life, real problems, and the way it has both characters voices is such a plus. You get to know what makes Hardin tick and you really get to know him. No one is perfect in real life, and each one of the characters are flawed in their own ways. I thank Anna Todd for creating a story between two young people that is so desperate and complicated, but is utterly beautiful at its very core.

2nd time reading the after series and I absolutely love them, the only thing that slightly irritates me if the use of the phrase "I let out a breath I didn't realise I was holding" lol. Other than that I love the way the relationships are described and how it makes you want to read more and more. I keep finding myself staying up until 3am without realising the time! Well worth the read. The books are 1000 times better than the film.

Young girls should not read this. The fact that Hardin can do so many unspeakable things to Tessa who then just forgives him and his insane violent temper is beyond me. There’s no love in this, just anger, jealousy and possessiveness - not something to aspire to at all.
