To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Doubling hitting is a problem very well known with these devices, in fact there is post on forums, reddit and all over the internet about it.
every single pad on my MPD226 double hits, when i record a sequence I need to quantize and clean up the MIDI every single time because of the double hits. It's extremely annoying and as a result I don't use the device, it's in my cupboard collecting dust.
1 Star rating because this is a common fault with many of these device, AKAI need to take responsibility and either stop selling this product or put the price up a bit and use better components.... even have a better Quality Control process.
Got delivered this morning. Went to the website to create an account to be able to get the software. Installed on my desktop. Once it was done it said the computer had to be restarted. Done that and it booted into a blue screen. Spent most of the afternoon trying to get it to boot up and it’s looking like a fresh install of windows is needed. Then I tried getting the software for my laptop and it refused to even install. Terrible.
It's not bad, but 4 faders/encoders is just not enough. There are 3 control banks so you could use 3 x 4 faders but I find it rather difficult to use it this way. If I had to buy it again I would have opted for the MPD232.
Great functionality, bought this to replace it's predessesor and am very happy with it. Works great in a studio environment and also use it as a controller for Traktor as u can custom map the controller inside Traktor
