I manage to fit a Mavic Air combo with all accessories, a Olympus OMD with three lenses (one is quite huge), a Gopro, plus various photo accessories and a tripod on the exterior. Highly recommended. Quality seems good!
The waist strap is a bit large and redundant for a bag of this size, and the interior would have been a lot better in anything but black so things are easier to find. Everything else is great.
It’s well padded, and suprising fits quite a lot of gear, I keep my X-T2, 5 lenses, spare batteries, flash and IPad Pro all in the one bag.
It’s great and a real steal for the price.

+ gute Optik
+ Verarbeitung wirkt gut (Beurteilung erst nach einigen Wochen möglich)
+ sehr flexible Innen-Aufteilung

My first impression is that externally, the bag is actually better built than I had any right to expect at this price point. It is well padded and the zippers are of decent quality. The shoulder straps are comfortable and reasonably well padded, though I question the utility of the chest and waist straps for most people. The waist strap in particular is too high to be of much use and just gets in the way, but if you are of shorter stature (I'm over 6') it may be more useful. The bag has a good number of compartments and internal pockets, many of which can be secured with zippers or hook & loop fasteners. The camera equipment compartment is a good size (as can be seen in the photos) and will fit even a full frame DSLR body (without battery grip, but with an L-bracket) and a 70-200 f/2.8 lens. The compartment is slightly too shallow to fit the larger zooms or fast primes (e.g. Canon L-series glass) standing on their end (when looking at the open bag, like in my photos), but it will fit them laying down; it is large enough to fit the smaller prime lenses standing on their end. You can fit a lot more APS-C (or m4/3) mirrorless kit in the main compartment, as the attached photo shows with my Fujifilm kit. There are two see-through zipper pockets inside the camera compartment that I use to store batteries and memory cards. There are an additional two zippered pockets on the other side of the 'flap', one of which is large enough to carry a lightweight raincoat or an iPad.
So what is the big flaw? The internal padded subdivisions in the main camera/lens compartment are very similar to what you find inside most branded bags, with one key difference. In my Lowepro backpacks the base of the compartment is of woven fabric and the main "longitudinal" dividers have hook & loop fasteners on the bottom edge as well as on the ends (see the attached photo: the Amazon divider is black, the Lowepro is grey. Note the additional strip of hook & loop on the Lowepro). This means that when the Lowepro dividers are assembled in the bag, the resultant structure is far more rigid than in the Amazon bag. On the Amazon bag, the dividers are great when the compartments are full, but tend to collapse when you remove a camera or lens for use, or simply don't want to fill the bag up. Some of this is me pushing the bag beyond its target market by over stressing it with a heavy camera and lenses, but it was still a bit of an issue when using it with my Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless system (see photo). To be honest, the quality of the dividers is a touch sub-par as well, the foam inside is cut too small and is a bit bendy. This means that the divider will bend and ruck up under the weight of camera equipment.
In summary, this is a bag that gets it 90% right, but the 10% that's wrong is the most important part for a photography backpack. I really wish that Amazon had spent the extra on specifying better quality dividers, as it would have made a huge difference to the utility of the bag, even if it meant increasing the retail price. Because of this, I would only recommend this backpack if you truly cannot afford to spend the extra money on a branded bag.
Many of the shoulder style bags seem expensive for what they are and practically speaking don't allow you to carry that much and whilst you sometimes do get what you pay for I realised some time ago that "cheaper" doesn't necessarily mean you compromise as much as you may think in terms of quality or value for money. Similarly getting the more expensive "branded" item doesn't always mean you are getting value for money either especially when you can end up feeling that you are paying for a brand name and perhaps very little else when you make some direct comparisons between products.
At the end of the day its down to what you can afford, as well as practical and personal preference and don't forget this item does have a one year warranty from Amazon.
So, I took the plunge and bought this with it arriving quickly, well packaged and actually, to me, quite nicely finshed considering the "cheap" price. For my needs it is the right sort of size - not too big and not too small - for everyday or general use allowing me to carry a camera, lenses, batteries, and quite a few other bits and pieces that I may need when out and about taking pictures. The zips and tags all seem fine and the velcro "spacers" I have moved around to my hearts content to get them into the positions I want them in without problem and they seem firmly stuck in place. The shoulder straps are padded and adjustable and the carry handle on the top of the bag seems secure enough - as somebody else mentioned I think any wear on any of these items (as well as the bag itself or any other of its parts) would become apparent in good time unless you are particularly unlucky in this respect. The zips work and the zipper tags are still intact and seem secure enough. The bag I feel provides adequate protection for the equipment I carry in it and I wouldn't place my trust in just anything for the sake of it when it comes to camera equipment. There are two straps on the side of the bag for carrying a monopod - I think these will do the job provided you don't attach anything that's too heavy as I think doing so would potentially place too much of a strain on the straps over time as well as upset the balance of the bag from a practical "carrying it" point of view - a small lightweight monopod or small lightweight traveller tripod or similar would probably be okay - I don't carry my monopod attached to the bag for these reasons but I don't consider that to be an inconvenience.
All things considered, I think it's a good bag for what it offers in terms of size and portability and it would probably afford a bit of protection from a light shower to the equipment it contains because of the type of material it's made from though common sense dictates that I wouldn't leave anything out in the rain that I didnt want to risk getting soaked. The bag I have received seems nicely finished without any obvious flaws though long term use will eventually determine how well its been made. My own feeling is that it's like anything - if looked after and not mistreated I am sure it will provide good service and do what I want it to do for some time to come with any potential failure becoming apparent in good time.
So to conclude (unless I need to suddenly amend this review over the coming months and have returned it with the one year warranty in mind) - I am happy with my purchase and am equally happy to give it five stars because it suits my needs and compared to many other similar types of product at differing prices, I think represents good value for money at around twenty pounds.
UPDATE: 22nd November 2013
No issues at all with this which I still use to transport my DSLR, ancillary lenses and equipment - no obvious or apparent signs of wear/breakage as yet (though it did get a bit of an accidental proper soaking when I was caught out by a long period of heavy rain when I was in the middle of nowhere taking photos not long after I had it. Even so and reassuringly, my camera and equipment was protected adequately as though the inside of the bag felt a little damp in places near to where the external zip fastenings are, water had not fully penetrated through to the internal linings to totally "soak" the inside compartments which was my concern at the time. I simply allowed the bag to dry properly before using it again.)
FURTHER UPDATE: 15th May 2014
As I picked the bag up to go out for a shoot, the top carry strap broke on one side! Wasn't expecting that though I had packed a fair amount of stuff into it and had wondered if I was overloading it slightly - well question answered though fortunately bag didn't drop (I had a firm enough grip on the strap and the stitching on the other end of it held and I was actually picking it up off of a sofa). Anyway still in use and the remaining straps all still apparently secure and I may well attempt a repair to the broken strap in any case. Bag has lasted well with a lot of use though I have noticed the price has increased since I bought mine which I'm not sure makes it quite the bargain it was given there are many other bags out there to choose from to protect your kit.
That said and other than the now defunct top carry strap the bag has no other damage or obvious signs of wear and still protects my camera and lenses so, very much still a valuable and useable bit of kit!
Another Update 20th December 2016
This bag is still in use - but now my Son who is at University uses it. It still has no further wear or damage to straps or zips or other fittings other than highlighted above. I see that the price has increased since I originally purchased it (and assuming it is virtually still the same product) but still represents good value when compared to other similar branded products (some smaller branded or "named" ones are actually more expensive than this). Now my Son has this camera backpack I will probably be needing another one at some point for my gear - yes it'll be another one of these.
The back is very well padded, as are the shoulder straps, making it comfortable to wear on your back. I still have space for things like glasses, phone, wallet, water bottle and a pack lunch. There are also straps on one side to hold a tripod. Best bit is that it is half the price of the dedicated drone case I ordered, but does the job much better.
I think this is a brilliant deal for a £25!! - highly recommended
If you don't fancy reading the whole review here's my conclusion... this bag is fantastic value for money!
If you like a bit more detail, read on...
This is my second Amazon basics backpack (I previously had the larger one) and I love it as much as the first. My review of the larger bag if you're interested - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/customer-reviews/R3RK73F8ZZ62N3/ref=cm_cr_dp_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00CD778LC
I have had several backpacks over the years ranging from the cheaper ones to expensive Lowepro's and I much prefer the Amazon basics. They are so practical, well made and dirt cheap.
The larger one I had was truly cavernous and held two Canon bodies, several lenses, laptop, reflector and more accessories than you could shake a stick at. You could argue too much, as it weighed over 9kg when full of my gear.
Last year I sold all of my Canon kit, including the backpack, and switched 100% to Fuji mirrorless (amazing cameras btw).
Having tried a couple of slingback backpacks I realised I needed another Amazon basics, but smaller than the previous one. This backpack isn't quite so cavernous, but is still like a tardis.
It's currently holding:
Two Fuji bodies (X-T3 and X-T20)
Two chargers and leads
Four spare batteries
Godox V350 speedlight and trigger
Memory cards, rechargeable batteries and other accessories
The weight is less than 5kg with that little lot inside it - a huge bonus for me.
There is still room for more (I could certainly get another small prime in there) and a lot more accessories.
The straps on the backpack are very strong, the zips are great and the padded shoulder pads/straps and padded bottom make it very comfortable when it's on your back. Straps on the side enable you to carry a travel tripod too. The padded inserts are very versatile, allowing you to configure your kit as you wish.
The only thing I don't like is the inserts are black and I occasionally have to rummage around to find things. The larger backpack had a grey inserts, which I prefer. That is my only gripe, but certainly not enough to give this backpack anything less than 5 stars.
Buy with confidence!
Edit: Just a few days after writing my glowing review, and five days outside of the return window, the handle at the top of the backpack came away at the seam. Now need to find out how Amazon will replace it. Knocking my review down to two stars pending a replacement.
Second edit: Amazon kindly sent me a second bag FOC provided I sent the original one back. Must admit I pretty much left it to the last minute but the link to return the item is 'dead' and can't send it back (even though I had an email to say it had to be returned by 7th September and today is the 5th).
The irony is, the replacement backpack has exactly the same fault, as the handle on this one is coming away at the seems. So it now looks as though I will be left with two faulty back packs that I can no longer return, both with the same fault, and I'm going to end up paying for both of 'em. Downgrading my review to one star and would take it down further if there was the option.
Would I now recommend this product? Absolutely not!!
1. The price for me at £50 was worth it, would I buy it at £99 no I wouldn't.
2. One thing you notice when you get it , its quite heavy.
3. it has tonnes of storage space for all your camera equipment, I have a 6dmkii, 70d, sigma 150-600 lens, yongnuo 50mm 1.4 lens, sigma 24-105 lens, flashgun, batteries, straps, rain covers , triggers, filters, tripod, 85mm generic prime lens, 10-18 canon lens...and there Is still space for more items.
4. But when the bag is fully loaded , I did try using the backpack side of things, needless to say took a good 10min to carefully get on my back, then I had to walk tilted forward to counter the weight....its heavy very heavy. So if your thinking of fully loading this bag and going up a mountain etc think twice. plus the straps looked like they were at the max...and looked like ripping from the bag any moment
5. Great build quality, great orange colour, great rain cover, solid looking wheels …..loads of compartments.
6. slightly naff looking amazon basics logo in white on a black bag right at the front....mhhh not sure about this, should have put it at the side or under the handle or something..
so a great well build bag...worth every penny of £50....£99 not so sure
today let's take a look at the best-selling photo backpack on Amazon (probably), thanks also to its decidedly low price (you can often find it around 25 pounds) and its versatility.
Inside we find up to nine padded and customizable compartments to our liking that will guarantee the storage of a machine body complete with optics, plus other lenses and accessories.
Two other large internal pockets plus a larger external one (a small laptop comes in) will make us feel comfortable if we also have other items to take with us.
In the video we see the fast unboxing and a detailed overview of all the pockets and padding, the latter being very soft and making the backpack super comfortable.
We are not certified for waterproofing, but rather good materials (mainly polyester and nylon) will protect our equipment from the elements as far as possible.
Recommended for everyone? NO
It's not a backpack for professionals, I don't find it sturdy enough and safe for super expensive, heavy and professional equipment.
It's a fairly light backpack, with padding, good, but not too thick, and so I recommend this photographic backpack to "sporadic" or occasional photographers, amateurs, enthusiasts, who carry equipment that is not too heavy, low and medium optics level, not too heavy and bulky stands ...
Attention to the two side pockets with Velcro fastening, they are not very safe against theft (of course) so do not carry expensive objects.
The padding makes the backpack become very comfortable and comfortable and the belt, with plastic clip, which can be fastened at the waist, makes it much safer in case of "shaky" and moved movements.
Hoping, as always, that this review of mine could have been useful to all those who are willing to purchase this photo backpack, I wish you good shopping and greet you. :-D
