The zip-open front pocket offers useful space for quickly accessing belongings or stashing last-minute items. The front pocket also functions as a handy workstation with designated compartments for keeping smaller items organized. It includes two slots for paper note pads, small slots for pens and markers, and space for a cell phone, business cards, sticky notes, and other office essentials.
The case's large zippered compartment nicely accommodates heavy textbooks, bulky files, and thick notebooks. Both students and professionals alike will appreciate the space available for transporting must-have documents and information. Yeah, I know, it will be some time before we can travel easily again. But these are such a deal, it's worth buying one for the future.
Updates: 1. May 13, 2019; 2. January 24, 2020
January 2020 update: after nearly a year of service, this workhorse continues to deliver good service daily. And, it still looks good and has complete functionality. At $49.99, I consider this represents exceptional value.
This handy case continues to give good service, and it has been quite durable - the handles and wheels have proven to be quite robust, and the general appearance of the case continues to be professional and smart.
I continue to endorse this case as a good value purchase.
I was delighted to receive this case for review, as I have a keen interest in products which help me with work related travel - carting computers, tablets, files, books and all the other paraphernalia which I need while working away from the home and office.
With over thirty years of work related travel, I believe I have learned many lessons about what makes travel easier, and what helps you to get jobs done.
This style of rolling laptop case is excellent, and the popularity of the style is testament to its practicality and utility.
What is different about this Amazon case?
From my perspective, the principal difference is the price: $49.99! This is astonishingly inexpensive.
You might ask whether the low price involves a compromise on quality, utility or durability.
As to quality, it seems as good as other “brand name” cases. The fittings seem durable. In particular, the extending handle appears to be robust, and smooth working, without any propensity to jam.
It is a two wheeler case, with a wide track, which assists stability.
The materials used appear to be durable, with attention given to the practical points where wear and damage might occur.
As to durability, I will report on this as I use the case. At this time, the manufacture of the case appears such that the makers intend it to be a serious workmate for its owner.
Certainly, the modest price is a serious enticement.
First of all, exterior. I think this is actually the most solid part of this bag. Doesn't feel/look cheap at all, has multiple zippers, reasonably done handles, a place for a label with your name and wheels which rotate freely and silently, not creating any issues with movement. The long handle feels premium, extends to a very decent length, but hides into a very weird compartment with nothing else than this handle, which is quite difficult to close. The placement is weird. Why not just have the handle outside?
Now, regarding interior, this is where things get a bit complicated and... cheap. There's an extremely thin layer of material separating both main compartments. While the thickness of separators and cushions from the outside to the inside is reasonable, I can almost see my fingertips shining through the one between compartments. I've only used it a couple of times so far with nothing sharp and it's already ripped cleanly in one spot, I can insert my finger into the hole.
What's also weird is that both main compartments are separated by this thin material only partially - the bottom of the two is simply connected which means any smaller item you throw into either compartment might end up in the other after a while.
The cheapness here is multiplied by the fact that these are held in place by Velcro - and some of these Velcros weren't properly installed in place when it arrived and needed some adjustments.
There are also no extra separators or pen/card/etc holders in the main ones. Just two big empty compartments, one however with a nicely cushioned slot for a laptop.
The smallest compartment with multiple separators for pens etc. feels too small. You'd be able to put some papers there, a couple of pens, mouse headphones, but you'd basically be throwing many of these into the compartment, not into separators themselves.
Overall, it's hard for me to recommend this even for this price. It really depends on what you need and how much you're willing to spend. If a cheap, well-built on the outside but poorly-built-on-the-inside rolling bag that you can take on a plane is what you need, absolutely go for it. But if you're willing to spend a bit more, there will definitely be better alternatives that will better protect your things that you toss inside.

Only downside is the two compartments actually are one with just separate openings on the top so everything gets jumbled up instead of being able to organise things neatly inside.
After over a year of constant use with 2 laptops, loads of accessories and junk inside it, the case is still going strong. It is used constantly around airports and outside when going to and from Hotels or venues and shows no signs of the wheels wearing or the zips going. For the money this is a superb item.
Update, after nearly 3 years of hard usage and travelling all over the world packed with 2 laptops and loads of other junk the case is still going strong. well worth the money
it feels fine when going along buildings but outside on roads etc its not so great, it could do with a little bit bigger wheels to stop the bottom scraping.
