Wanted to try something more premium than supermarket stocked hair styling products and saw my favourite youtube mens stylist Aaron talking about this brand. Aaron owns Pete and Pedro but that is too expensive so he recommended AC as an alternative.
Smells nice (lemon), more of a wax texture, not sticky, lasts all day and washes out easy.
If you are reading this it's probably because you are sitting on the fence, but trust me wben I say it is a great product for the money.
Smells nice - a distinctive lemon smell. I have fine, flyaway hair and, from the reviews, was expecting this to hold more. It’s quite light and greasy but does go on matte...just not as good as TIGI matte separation whic, for me, is the best I’ve tried over the years. TIGI is always a bit cheaper too.
After reading an online article about the different types of hair products for men (Gel, Wax, Clay etc etc...) Fibre was one of the variants I hadn't used before, and as I've struggled to find something to tame my unruly mop in the past, I thought I'd give "fibre" a go as it was recommended to be best for high hold with a matte finish - avoiding the "not been in the shower for 3 days" look.
This stuff does exactly that - it has a firm hold but with a natural look to it - as if you've put nothing on at all. Cool packaging also to award you grooming kudos.
And another plus point is that the smell is a little bit like sherbert!
I have always been a "Fudge" man, but don't like the new formula... so moved over to American Fibre, and after a confusing array of choices selected the "Fibre". It is effectively a clay, that whilst works OK, is not the same consistency of "Fudge", does not smell of anything, and general does an OK job, but is not for me...
I have tried many hair products out and one of my all time favourites is the Fudge Matt hed but wanted to make a change and try something new. My hair dresser applied this to my hair and I loved the low shine, strong hold look so placed an order from Amazon (which, by the way is almost half the price of my hair dressers!) It’s a brilliant cream, kind of in between wax and gel and it goes in very easily. Not too sticky either which is a massive plus! Makes it very easy to style my hair. Not too sure about the smell - it’s almost like a less pleasant smell of play doh but not a bad smell... just a little strange! Nevertheless massively recommend for anyone with short hair.
