Fits in my boat stern tight space so I had to go with a small unit which does not cover the cable terminals so had to add insulation tape to make sure it couldn’t short as it’s right next to the fuel filter and tank. Sturdy terminals tho and the rear cover fits nice and snug as do the side covers which provides all the wiring options possible.

This was a really good buy. The switch can handle a large cranking load, far in excess of what I need for my 1962 Cadillac resto-mod. The switch is solid with a good feel and is well made. There are access panels that can be re-moved or re-arranged as required which makes running the cables to the switch easy. The included mounting screws have ny-lock nuts and also appear to be good quality. The On/Off positions are clearly marked and colour coded green and red. The rotary switch dial exposes the appropriate colour when turned, green for connected or red for disconnected. All in all, a very good value when compared to some others I looked at before settling on this switch.

A perfect shutoff for any battery. I have a number of vehicles and this is a great “battery saver” to completely shut down any residual draw which can kill your battery. Works great on the negative/ground. Drill hole in the insert for wire, add terminal lugs on the wire, bolt in place, snap housing pieces together Can be easily installed in-line with no additional mounting. A theft deterrent as well.

I ended up doing a surface mount. if you want to do a rear mount with the switch coming through a hole, you will need additional screws.

Switch seems to handle starting a cold diesel truck (12v x 2 batteries in Parallel) without overheating.

I used this to put a main disconnect close to battery array in my old RV. Very pleased. I can now turn off power to entire RV for mtc and repair (is old RV) without going near a battery terminal. You will need cables with lug ends to attach to switch terminals, which was not a problem for me as I just solder on my own as required. I would buy again.

My caravan doesn't have a main switch to cut 12V DC power. When not using it, battery was giving current to few accessories wich result in battery drain. I installed this switch, problem solved. Othewise I had to disconnect battery each time at terminal.

Great looking battery cutoff switch. No instructions altho none really needed. Looks like "knockouts" on all 4 sides depending on where your cable need to enter/leave the switch.
