One of the guinea pigs got the hang of it but one had trouble - not a lot of water was coming out. One pig was biting so hard on it, he now has a sore patch on the side of his mouth.

So I had to update my review on this bottle. The unit itself is good enough and doesn’t leak at all. It’s a bit quieter than the ball style bottle. (But not by much). The issue I had was since I provide my rats with a water dish as well, they don’t really use the water bottle. So the water sat in it for a while and once you have filled it, there is not an easy way to get it off the critter nation 1/2” bar spacing without removing the nozzle. Which of course allows water to pour out. And it leaks from the top when flipped upside down. So I had a very wet floor trying to get the thing off, and in my rush trying to turn the nozzle part to remove it, it broke in about a zillion places. It also had a crack from sitting that I have no idea where it came from? Probably works better with other cages but if you want to keep your water fresh and you have 1/2” spaced cage bars maybe get something else...

Could it be that finally I have found a water bottle that doesn't leak? So far so good! It's been a few days and all is well. The bottle needs to mount higher than the old one so the guinea can get under it to press the valve, but she figured it out pretty quick.

So my little guinea pig has broken every water bottle I have bought so far. So I decided after looking at the reviews to purchase this one. So far so good he has not broke it. It's very easy to install and love the fact you fill it at the cage.

A little awkward to set up. also you need to bring a glass of water to the cage to refill it as it isn't easy to remove from cage once set up. The guinea pigs have a very difficult time using it and getting water from it so I had to keep a second water bottle next to it to ensure they always have water. I wouldn't repurchase this.
