Before I decide on this item, I have scouted a few others of the similar. However, I find this item fits perfectly, particularly on the design element.
The position of the elastic band was fitted so nicely that you could even operate the multimeter inside the case without the need to remove them, the same applies to the lead. I can plug in the test lead without removing the meter from the case.
This case fits the Fluke 113-117 like a glove! The construction is a little sloppy with a lot of stray threads but it feels solid. No excessive gap around the edges of the meter and it doesn't swallow it either. The elastic straps are good quality. One is sufficient to keep it in place. My only real issue with it is that the accessory pocket zipper lands right on some of the markings of the meter. Over time, this will undoubtedly scratch those markings off. Other than that, this is an awesome case. Well worth the money. It's sad that Fluke can't make a case that fits this well.
Suggestion: If you're handy with a needle and thread, you can follow my solution for the zipper issue. I took a piece of pile Velcro and sewed it on the inside rim of the case so that it creates a flap barrier between the zipper and the meter. You can use any material you like, just as long as it covers the zipper when the pocket is closed. (see photos)
I can't believe I waited this long to get a decent case for the 117. This is a great little case, if I could change anything a little more room for a couple different leads would be nice; tho I could have bought a bigger case for that, my only iffy thing is something I could have taken care of at the time of purchase.
Great case. I would recommend this product; I see more similar cases for my other Fluke instruments in my near future.
The case is a great fit for the Fluke 115 and very durable. Only gripe I have is that there is no place to put the manual for the meter and the elastic strap that holds it in place covers the meter window so you have to slide the meter out every time to read. Other than that is very solid and well made. The meter will not get damaged in this case.
This is my second review of the same product, because I erroneously submitted a lower score the first time. I was the one at fault because the Fluke multimeter that I had was a different model than the one that was meant to fit this case, and it was not your fault that this case was to small for my Fluke multimeter. The case is sturdy and I am using it with my go-pro camera.
Quality construction and reasonable price make this case the best option for your new Fluke meter. Zippered accessory compartment keep test leads and clips from scratching or damaging meter. Better protection and lower cost than manufacturer's cases.
Grear quality case for my meter. The only complaint that I have is that my alligator clips and jumpers sometimes fall out of the mesh holder in the case. Not really a big deal for me, but others might want to know.
This is a rugged little case. The fluke 117 fits perfectly and the probes fit in the zippered pouch. There's room in the zippered pouch for other accessories too, but not enough room for the 117 manual.
