Accuracy I have no idea but as far as I know it's damn close having said that I have nothing to compare it to but I'm having fun and learning at the same time.
It's easy to use the battery is pre installed I think it's a pp9.
It also comes with a thermocouple type K which measures temperature (cool) 😜
All in all I recommend this to anybody at all I is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!
After an intensive research, I reached a conclusion that if you are a professional then go for the expensive brand like Fluke and it will last you for a life time. On the other hand if you are a DIY person and use it occasionally then AstroAI has so much to offer for a fraction of cost. I picked it up on prime deals for under £20 and it does everything I ever want it to do.
Due to Covid 19, my car had been on my drive for months and despite starting Engine and leaving it running for several minutes, I still had a dead battery. I just wanted to check if battery is still good enough to re charge so I bought it and after charging my battery over night. I took a reading and hurray it is still keeping 13.7 watt charge which shows that battery cells are still healthy hence no need to buy a new battery yet.
It is also very effective solution to check fuses and even AA or AAA batteries to see if they are new or used. I have already tried it on few things and I am very happy so far with this Multimeter.
Word of warning
Do not use it on household electrics unless you are a qualified electrician as tools in wrong hands can be lethal.
This meter just beeps on and off. Without fail it will start with one beep and turn off after 1 second, then on and off intermittently. If you get a sold beep it will stop start just by moving the probes even when fully in contact. On a 3.5 mm jack lead I tested it was even worse.. it sometimes cut off competely. This is (particular) function is totally unreliable.
I have tested and changed the batteries in case this might be the cause and the leads are not flakey as I tested them when measuring voltage from the battery and there is no intermittent drop of connection.
I have to assume there is some kind of fault in the threshold setting for what the meter considers a short.
I guess you get what you pay for and whilst this meter has a ton of other abilities I really question how accurate or reliable they are going to be.
