We want to reduce our waste so liked the idea of a washable May instead of having a plastic based one which wears out and needs binning. We have a two year old and a ten week old and this is a good sized mat for both - the two year old is squashed into it but it’s ok. It provides a nice layer for them to lie on and washes well. We have two so one is in the changing bag and one can be in the wash. It also doesn’t take up too much space in the bag.

I’m a bit of a clean freak so I bought one that could be washed often as I don’t like the thought of germs in public baby changes going back in amongst my own stuff. It’s small enough that I can fit it into its own pocket in my change bag, so doesn’t ‘contaminate’ other things in there.
However, when you fold up the change mat the outside bit that touches the public change table gets folded onto the fabric where you would later lay your baby, something that *personally* I really don’t like the thought of. You can change this by folding it another way, but I haven’t found one where it lines up the Velcro to close still.
However, if you’re more care free than me, then this is a great product. Easy to use and clean.

This changing mat is not wipeable. It didn't occur to me that this would be a feature of a changing mat that Id have to specifically look for, I thought it would go without saying! My baby is now 10 weeks old, so there isn't a nappy change without some wee/poo spilling onto the mat which has to be washed each time because I cant just wipe it clean...how daft is that.

Wish Id not bought it, but went for the cute pattern.

Lovely design and soft, I didn’t really process that because it’s towelling over plastic it couldn’t be wiped clean if a bit of 💩 got on it, this is a mild inconvenience given how lovely it is and obviously nicer for baby to lie on

Great size travel mat, cute pattern and lovely and soft for baby to lie on. We were originally using a fold out wipe clean with pockets changing mat for quick changes but found it too fussy to open and a little cold for baby so switched to these. Like other reviewers have said though you do need to buy a couple so you have an alternative when one needs washing.
