The case is a quality product and is sturdy enough to hold up to the weight of a fully loaded case. The styrofoam cut outs that actually hold the batteries are the only part I was not entirely satisfied with. They do hold the batteries and are perfectly measured for each type, but when putting the batteries in their respective slot the styrofoam tends to bend and fold so as to make it a little harder than intended to properly seat the batteries. A minor annoyance, but nonetheless it should be mentioned. The battery tester works as intended and is a nice addition to the case.
Wether you like to be organized or prepared for an emergency, or perhaps both, I would recommend buying this case.
Of course when I started looking at options, I wanted explosion proof and water resistance. However after looking at dozens of cases, I realized, where are everyone’s D batteries? The vast majority of the battery cases had six slots, max, for D batteries. What? I have a camping lantern and fan that each take four D batteries. And what about the 9Vs? I buy those by the dozen. When one fire alarm starts chirping, you better have a whole lot of 9Vs.
So I got this case. I need usability more than I need explosion proofing. It still doesn’t have enough 9V storage, but I can use extra D and C compartments for those (see photo).
I also wanted one with a pocket for my button batteries. This has slots, but I’d prefer to keep them packaged as I have various types. The only reason I deducted 1 Star was because the pocket is not tight, nor does it have a closure. The handle to carry this case is on the hinge side which becomes the top when carrying the case. This means that the pocket is upside down when you pick up the case. In my use, this led to button batteries falling out when I unzipped the case as they had fallen out of the pocket. It would be great if the pocket held them in. I solved this but putting all my button batteries inside a large ziplock bag and then inside the pocket. This way, the tiny packages don’t fall out.
I like this case. Now my batteries are easily accessible in the pantry. There is now a ton of free room in my kitchen drawer. Also, I can easily take stock of what sizes I’m running low on.
Oh and obviously, the tester is a huge bonus. I have a tornado shelter where I keep cases of batteries for emergencies, not to be used around the house. It’ll be nice to go test them before each tornado season to see if they’ve outlived their life and need replacing.
I love this battery case, it have many precut holes for battery storage, that's a safe way to go obviously
case quatliy is very nice and sturdy enough, the foam is solid black and quality, zipper works smooth,
It's compact and can be tossed anywhere you like, drawer or cabinet, desk.
I am glad I buy this versus buying a plastic organizer
And it comes with a battery tester, well worth the money, highly recommended
La caja es un producto de calidad y es suficientemente fuerte para soportar el peso de una funda completamente llena de baterías. El probador de batería funciona bien y que bueno que esta incluido con la caja.
The one negative is that the handle is on the wrong side. Mine is on the hinge side, which means the contents of the mesh pocket fall out if you carry the case by the handle. But I noticed that one of the photos in the listing shows the handle on the side opposite the hinge. Why are some made with the handle on the right side and others with it on the wrong side? It also would have been wonderful to have a zipper on the mesh pocket to keep the contents in place. As some others have done, I put my button batteries and smaller batteries in ziploc bags and small plastic containers in the pocket.
I would definitely buy this again, especially at this price point. But if I had found a similar case with the handle on the correct side, I would have gone with that one instead.
