The smooth and silky Moroccan Mud Shampoo Bar is made from natural Rhassoul clay and contains a rich spicy orange and coriander oil scent. This eco-friendly all natural shampoo bar is not only perfect for regular daily use but also for those suffering with a dry scalp or with unruly and frizzy hair. The shampoo bar delivers an enriched and enhanced natural color and feel to hair of all types and colors. Don't use our Shampoo Bars just once or twice - Give them a chance! Most people report positive results after just 1-2 washings. However, at least 3-4 washings are needed to remove previous products from the hair. If you using synthetic hair styling products such as gel or wax, it's important to use an Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse for best results. Use 3 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar in a quart of water and rinse your hair after shampooing and conditioning to remove the chemical build up in your hair. This process will restore the PH balances to your scalp for super healthy hair. Try our Apple Silk Clarifying Hair Rinse - an alternative to our best selling Apple Cider Conditioning Rinse, to remove the silicone plasticizers in commercial conditioners and the last residues of shampoo soap. Travel Friendly! Restores hair to healthy condition, relieves dandruff, helps hair grow strong, and perfect for transitioning to a shampoo bar. It brightens and softens, to leave hair cuticles roughened by washing, flat and smooth for maximum shine potential.

It leaves a gooey residue that coats the hair and smothers it completely. When brushing the result is that my hair got pulled out so much my brush was full of it and the brush was also coated in that waxy residue. I will not buy it again. That was an expensive mistake! I also made the mistake to use it on the rest of the body...
I’ve only used it twice!
After the first wash, I was in love. My hair felt clean. I didn’t need a conditioner. There was no frizz. (Frizz is something I battle.)
I waited two days, brushed my hair thoroughly in between, and washed my hair again. The second time I understand what people mean by feeling as though there is a film that’s left behind. It’s not that big a deal, except the frizz came back.
I’ve read this happens on almost all the bar shampoo reviews I read, though, and I am determined not to use plastic bottles any longer. (I need to write Amazon a letter about their packing methods. There is no sense buying this on Amazon when it is shipped in a bunch of plastic!)
Anyway, I am going to try the apple cider vinegar rinse and will try to remember to update this post.
Update: It's been a couple more weeks, and I still haven't tried the apple cider vinegar rinse, but I am starting to love this bar. Sometimes it feels weird in the shower, a bit stickier (like bar soap) than bottle shampoo, but once my hair is dry, it's great. I haven't needed any conditioner, which says a lot for my easily tangled slightly curly hair. I don't get the bedhead clumping in the back. My hair looks and feels thicker.
It took a while to get used to it not feeling so light. I think I've come to associate the oil stripping of bottle shampoo with clean hair, but the frizz is definitely gone.
So far so good. I'll post again if anything changes.
EDITED REVIEW: Ok. So I am amending this review because the representatives of the company have been 110% responsive, and were horrified that this happened. They told me that the manufacture process was plastic-free so I believe them when they say that this was some bizarre fluke. I've always said that I love the product, and I take back my previous "You've lost me as a customer!" rant. Any company that cares enough to send multiple emails and refund not only this specific product but every other product that I've purchased from them in the past (the VooDoo bar, also fabulous) is a company that I will happily continue to do business with.
Edited to add: I’ve found it’s helpful to double-cleanse and to really make sure you get all of the shampoo out afterward.
