Beachy Waves or Loose Tousled Curls? Why choose when you can have both! The Swerve and Curve Waver and Wand in 1 is flexible and customizable, so you can switch up your hairstyle as you please, using one single tool. This unique styling iron can be used as a traditional waver to create chill, beachy waves or as a curling wand to create loose, tousled curls. Tourmaline Ceramic Technology reduces frizz and adds mega shine, while Instant Heat Recovery ensures your results are fab throughout. The Waver and Wand in 1 is down for whatever, whenever with a Worldwide Dual Voltage feature allows you to pack it anywhere you go. HOW TO USE: For beachy waves, starting at the roots, lightly clamp a 1-inch section of hair between the waver plates and hold for a few seconds. For tousled loose curls, lock plates together and wrap hair around the barrel like a curling wand.

WHAT IS THIS LIKE?
This swerve hair waver is a bit cumbersome in appearance. It has a twisted sort of appearance with a curved outer edge. You can either use it like a crimper and slide it down the hair until all is curled/waved, or you can wrap it up like a curling iron for irregular waves. It has a lock and a temperature dial to change it to what you want for your hair type. It also heats up quickly and lights up so you know when it is ready. It comes with a heat resistant glove.
HOW DOES IT PERFORM?
We tried this both ways for beachy waves and tousled hair appearance. The favorite for us was the beachy waves look. When used like a crimper, it is amazing how natural and beautiful it makes the hair look. We used it on the medium setting on fine but thicker hair that had been color treated. The results were breathtaking.
HOW LONG DID THE CURLS LAST?
The curls lasted for three days until it was washed again (had been set with beach spray and hairspray after setting).
This does recover quickly so you can keep doing the hair without having to wait between uses.
THE BOTTOM LINE
For VERY natural beachy looking waves of tousled hair, this hair tool is fantastic. I rarely get this excited about a hair
tool, but this one is a HUGE hit in my house. We have had a great time using this and use it often. It is absolutely
one of my all time favorite hair implements.
If I could, I would give this TEN stars, but alas, five is as good as I can go.
There are two ways to use this Swerve and Curve hair styling tool. 1. you can use it in the locked position and wrap your hair around the thick, curved barrel or 2. you can place 1inch sections of hair in between the two sides and clamp down, hold for 3-5 seconds, and then continue this action all the way down the section of hair.
The end result of using it the second way reminded me of the look I used to get when as a kid I would braid my hair wet and sleep on it. It definitely has an 80s wave or larger crimped look. I thought it was neat, however, it left some heat marks in my hair towards the top of my head.
I found that it actually added a lot of texture to my hair. I have a good amount of hair but it is very thin and flat. After using this product, my hair was thick and textured. It felt amazing! I added a picture to show the before and after results. I think this would be good for someone who maybe has trouble using a standard curling iron or when looking to have a unique or edgy look. Overall, I was happy with the results!
My hair is fine and about collar length -- medium short with light layers. I first tried the wave setting and found it extremely easy to do. Were I to slip my hair up a bit I would have a 1920's look right away. For just curl-and-run use, the wave setting would probably suit longer hair better, shoulder length, at least. Still, I found it extremely easy, even on my first try, to get the waves to line up across my hair. Start nearest your scalp (without touching the hot iron to your skin!), close the iron for about 5 seconds, release, move down the width of the iron and repeat. Every wave in my hair lined up with each other doing this all around my head.
Start on the lowest heat setting! Read the directions and make sure you follow this part. This curling/wave iron gets extremely hot. 400 degrees F, they say, and that is not a temperature you should be careless about. That's hotter than most baking pans you'll pull out of the oven. I'll never get mine up to the highest setting, though, because the lowest setting worked for my hair. Watch your hand placement and use basic caution.
I tried this on a whim because I was tired of my plain, always-straight, hair. I think this will let me have some greater fullness and loose curls without committing to a chemical perm.
