Puppy, go to your bed! Usually the command works well. I highly recommend this dog bed. The fabric is high quality and durable. It was absolutely essential for me to get a bed that has a removable cover because I am still potty training my dog. He has had many accidents on the bed but I'm grateful I can just wash the cover. I have once washed and dried the inner memory foam cushion too and it turned on OK. Lastly, I love the colours. The teal on this bed is an eye-catcher.
Update: I nearly ruined this bed trying to wash it after my dog peed in his kennel. The insides took a full 24 hours to dry, after being run in the dryer multiple times. I ended up letting it sit outside in the sun to dry, which fortunately saved the bed. If you're getting this, use a trashbag or a liner around the insides of this bed! You will need to wash it, and it's a lot easier to replace a trashbag or wipe it down than it is to wash the insides of the bed! The outside cover washes fine for me; it's been through at least 3-4 times since we got it a month or two ago and there's no damage to it
My puppy's first bed was a cotton filled one, and he chewed a hole in it. He hasn't had a bed for about a month now, and we sprung for this when we got the money.
First impressions of the bed are good. It feels a lot heavier and sturdier than the other, but I don't think it's heavy duty enough to keep big time chewers at bay. I'm hoping his bones and toys being in the kennel will keep him occupied, cause I feel like he could put a hole in this one if he really tried.
Bed looks nice and feels nice, and it fits in his 30x19 kennel perfectly :) Kind of obvious that you aren't supposed to wash the inside of this bed (that's usually the case with ones with removable covers) so I don't recommend doing it.
This bed is really made well. I bought it to use in a crate but first I left it on the living room floor. All four of my dogs laid on it at some point, so it was a definite hit.
Pros: ~ The shredded foam gives “diggers” the ability to do just that, more so than with solid foam beds (which I also have). ~ The removable cover is amazing. Easy to take off and put back on, and cleans up well. How do I know this? Because the second day we had it, my dog threw up all over it. Let me repeat: Second. Day. ALL. OVER. IT. I just took it outside, easily hosed it off, and then threw it in the washer. It came out perfect. Also, the zipper is on the 28” side, not the 18” side. This means there’s no struggling to get the bed back in. I wish more manufacturers would do this. ~ The stated size is the true size. The 28”x18” fits the intended crate perfectly. ~ It’s soft yet supportive. My dogs range in size from 12lbs to 26lbs and it has just enough give to be comfy. ~ The top returns to it’s original shape after the dog gets up. It doesn’t stay indented. ~ The cover is soft and seems like it will be appropriate for year-round use. Our summers are hot as hell and I didn’t want anything that was too plush.
Con: ~ The only negative so far is that the bottom isn’t truly non-skid, but I don’t really consider that a negative because no dog bed I’ve ever had has ever actually been non-skid like they claim.
Bottom line - the bed is great, dogs love it, I highly recommend it.
Extremely pleased so far! I haven't washed this item yet and so can't comment about its shape after washing, but I am very pleased with the texture of the cover and with the density of the foam stuffing thus far. The cover on the bottom of the foam bed is some kind of stiff material that I really like. The sides and top are soft. The foam bed is flexible and can be rolled-up. It arrived rolled-up like a sleeping bag, and I was afraid that it might not be thick enough for comfort. It opened and fluffled-up easily, though, and looks fine. So far, so good!
I bought these foam beds to use as crate pads inside two portable canvas-covered kennels that the dogs can enter and leave whenever they choose to do so. One dog is older and likes to lie on a rug on the floor. Both dogs are "inside dogs" that sleep in the kitchen or in the living room, for the most part. I think these foam dog beds will be very cozy for both dogs, but I bought a crate pad for the older dog, in particular, because she shows some signs of aging and a desire to be warm and comfortable. The foam dog bed fits perfectly in the portable kennel, which is about 29" long by 18."
Love the bed and the coloring (not just blah brown!) and my pup seems to love it too. As 40 lb mutt, she is about the largest size you'd want for the medium, but I needed it for a small space and she tends to curl herself for serious sleeping anyway. She also has a much larger bed in the other room, but seems to enjoy this one. The fill is firm enough that it gives her support and the cover seems like you'll be able to get fur off of it (the fact that it's removable is an added bonus, but I haven't tired that yet). It's also easy to move around (also unlike her other bed!) so I can use it wherever she needs it at that time, like in the corner where she huddles during thunderstorms, and I'll probably take it when we travel anywhere overnight, since it's easy to carry and fit in the car. .
