Though it effectively guards against common radio frequencies, our id window minimalist wallet doesn't have the ability to block 125 KHz signals such as those for hotel room keys & access cards.

Amazing product, amazing company, and AMAZING customer service.
I like how it has kind of a hidden side pocket for bills. Now if someone jacked this out of your hip pocket, they would find the bills before they just tossed the wallet in a mud puddle. But it's just kind of like that hidden panel you have behind the bookcase that leads to a secret smoking room that always smells vaguely of bourbon, old wood and rich cavendish pipe smoke. It's there, and all your best friends know it's there, but it just doesn't advertise itself, you know?
So yeah I would strongly say this is my favorite wallet I have carried in a long time. It's quick and easy and minimalistical, just like I need. I don't carry a lot of cards and cash. I carry just the bare minimalistically necessary amount of items in my wallet. And this will handle that with no problems. So when I slip it out of my front pocket to buy the ladies a drink, they all cooh.
When I first received it look great however I noticed it had a very small scratch mark and a very small piece of the leather torn.
Now this is where they have absolutely outstanding customer service, first when it was delivered I automatically got an email from a customer service rep James asking how I liked it or if I had any problems, I explained everything and he instantly offered to send another one out to me with expedited shipping. He was very quick to respond and it was an entirely hassle free process. I also got automatic follow up emails from the owner of Buffway asking if everything was ok.
When I received the new wallet everything about it was perfect, the leather looked great and I didn't see any bad stitching. I have attached pictures showing the wallet it has 4 cards along with my ID being hidden behind the thank you tag) and some bills. I feel you can probably store 8 cards with relative ease but it would be a tight fit with 12.
I paid the regular price $9.99 for it and feel satisfied for what I got. I will update the review in time to see how it holds up to everyday usage.
Enter the Buffway. I was intrigued by the ads for similar wallets that cost a whole lot more. I have had to double-check a few times when leaving the house, thinking I’d left my wallet on my dresser.
Part of this is just the limited capacity of the Buffway. I’ve left some of my less-used cards in my old wallet in case I need to have them sometime. I’ve also started using the app Stocard, which captures the code on my loyalty cards; most scanners do fine with the image it presents.
But I’m going to walk you through the contents of my wallet: In the front, window pocket I have my driver’s license. In the tight pocket behind that, I have my two health insurance cards. Yet another pocket on this side has my gym card, my library card, and one loyalty card—two of those are probably going to go away once I determine that the scanned version will work.
The middle section has 6 folded bills. I don’t think I could put many more bill in there.
On the back side, I have one pocket with three thin cards, and then a tiered set of 3 pockets, each with a card, for easy access. So I guess it adds up to 12 cards.
The leather is thin, seems strong even if thin, and the stitching seems good.
So I’m happy with this wallet, and the RFID shielding is a real plus for travel. I guess the one drawback would be that the wallet is slim enough that I need to take extra care around pickpockets, as the wallet could go missing and I wouldn’t notice the lack of it quickly.
The design of the Buffway makes it easy to get to your cash, which fits well in the larger pockets. There's a wealth of card slots to choose from, which really come in handy for your driver's license, passport card, credit cards, health insurance card, Global Entry card, etc. Also, there's the RFID protection, which may or may not work. Your most important deterrent is constant vigilance and focus!
I highly recommend this Buffway wallet that is durable, slim, good looking, and practical.
It is slim, without being a huge compromise.
Be advised: you will definitely NOT be able to fit everything from your current wallet, if you are anything like myself and many others. I’d keep tons of receipts, rewards cards for stores I barely shop at, business cards, lottery tickets, gift cards, etc.
Having significantly less real estate definitely forces you to get rid of trash, and evaluate what needs to travel with you all the time and what can stay home or be kept elsewhere until really needed. Do you really need 6 credit cards on you at all time, when most of the time you have a main and a back up, and the rest are probably used more online.
That’s not to say it has no space either. I was able to keep all my credit and debit cards, ID and company badge (it’s not a photo badge, just access), still have space to comfortably stick cash and the occasional parking stub.
The end result is a comfortable wallet I can stick in my back pocket without needing to take it out every time I sit. If anything, it’s so comfortable I can forget I actually have it with me.
ID is also very easy to remove from its sleeve when needed.
1. No more sitting on a thick "wallet wad"!
2. As thin as this is, it still has 7 compartments for credit, insurance and identity cards, plus a larger one for your bills. I have something in every compartment and still the wallet is only a half inch thick (12-13mm). It is still very small and comfortable in any pocket.
3. My son now thinks I have gone from nerdy to Cool!
4. It is very well made, and every joint and seam is stitched, not glued
The center section provides easy access, for me, to my bills and it covers the bills completely.
Another question I saw earlier, will access type cards still work thru this wallet, well mine does with no problems.
The only challenge, probably because I have so many cards and bills in my wallet, It's kind of hard to remove my driver license's from my wallet, some places want to hold your actual license, I guess making sure it's not fake.
