The little album that could! To celebrate the 30th anniversary of this landmark, groundbreaking women's music album, Wolf Moon has released a limited edition version of the disc with extensive liner notes and historical photographs. Another special highlight is a short video which includes some new footage and some great historical footage and stills. The Changer and the Changed is THE album that pioneered and carried the genre known as Women s Music. One of the top selling independent albums when it was released in 1975, it maintained that distinction until the early 90's - an amazing record. These songs are the timeless standards, speaking to all as deeply today as they did when they were first heard. Cris s achievements are part of the curriculum in Women's Studies programs around the world. Her songs are sung around campfires, appear in hymnals and are covered by countless young artists of today.

So I dived into the Amazon vaults in much the same way I dive into a box of really beautiful chocolates and started plucking them out one by one. [When I die, some lucky left wing lesbian is going to discover this treasure trove and think they had gone to heaven]. And when they started arriving I put them on- mostly in the car because that is where I do a lot of music listening- and played and played them. When The Changer and The Change came, in went the CD- and it stayed there for about 3 weeks!- What really blew me away, was remembering every lyric of every song on the album! So, of course, singing along was mandatory. I was lifted up with every song!
What a treat! If you were around in this era, and were a Cris or Holly fan, you know what I am talking about. And if you weren't try a song or two- they are still magic.
