I would highly recommend the dancer rainbow for cat lovers. It has become my cats favourite toy. It’s is well made, a very flexible handle, long enough for my cats to wrap around themselves, light enough for them to drag around. Have saved the item for when I need a new one.
I wish I had reviewed the safety warnings from other reviews before I purchased it. This product is *NOT* safe. The fabric is fragile and my cat easily chewed off a piece and swallowed it quickly when she was playing with it before we even noticed it. The next day she started to vomit very badly and was completely dull and hardly moved. We took her to the vet and then later transferred her to ER because her condition became worse and she was sent to ICU immediately. After a set of exams(blood test, x-ray, ultrasound), the doctor finally diagnosed the vomit was caused by intestine blockage and she had to do surgery for enterotomy right away. Luckily, the surgery was successful. The doctor showed us the blockage afterward and guess what, it was exactly the fabric string from the toy. She was kept in the hospital for four days and is still in the post-op recovery. I can't imagine how much pain my cat has suffered from the vomiting and surgery. Seeing the stitches on her little belly makes me really sad. Oh, and by the way, the whole process cost us more than 7000 dollars.
I DO NOT recommend this product especially if your cat is playful and like to chew stuff. Too bad this product is ranked #2 Best Sellers in Cat Mice & Animals Toys category. I really hope more people are aware of the choking hazard before buying it.
Hi, my name is Blaze, I am 18 months old and my human parents think I am part Maine Coon. They have bought me lots of toys but I think they're all a bit boring. Yesterday a man rang the doorbell and left a box behind and when my humans opened it, a strange looking multi coloured snake came slithering out. Well, I immediately started stalking it but it was very fast and kept slithering just out of my reach. I chased and jumped and ran after it, I jumped at it a few times, my claws out to grab at it. My three legged sister, Sapphire came to see what I was so excited about and she also started chasing this crazy snake, even with just three legs she can jump very high. Well eventually I caught the snake and held it down, biting it's tail really hard but just when I thought it was dead, it wriggled out of my grasp! Sapphire caught it a few times too and I think it eventually died because it stopped wriggling all about. Sapphire and I are pretty tuckered out now but we are both keeping a very close eye on Mr Snake, just in case he comes to life again.
Since I bought this for my cat, she has not touched any of her other toys. She loves this toy so much I spent a straight hour playing with her yesterday (previously her other toys only kept her interested for 5 minutes). Then this morning, she woke me up at 6:30am (an hour earlier than usual). Thought she might be hungry, nope she wanted to play again. Was late for work because as soon as I put the toy down, she started meowing for me to pick it up and play with her. Thankfully I managed to escape for work when she had to use her litter box. Highly recommended if you want to spend hours flicking a ribbon solely for your cat's enjoyment. Not recommended if you want your cat to amuse themselves and give you peace and quiet.
