The easiest and most fun tool we've ever found for removing strawberry hulls. Push the button to open the stainless steel 'claw', insert into the top of the strawberry and as you release the button, the mechanism hulls the strawberry with ease. Great for tomatoes too.9cm (3? ") LDishwasher safe

This has been great for hulling a load of strawberries for making jam.
The two big let downs are; the small green 'pink at the bottom keeps falling out as I use it, which is so difficult to put back in, and you can't provide additional 'clasping' strength if you have a tougher strawberry.
Definitely worth buying though.
Out of interest I have also bought one of the very cheap copies of the Chef'n StemGem and although it looks very similar it definately has a flimsier, cheaper feel to it, and the blades are looser- it also arrived without a plunger knob- it must have fallen off before being posted as the missing part wasn't in the bag!
