These do the job perfectly! I am so glad I discovered that these double-hinged kinds of clips existed! Regular alligator clips never worked well for me because I have really thick hair and so much of it... and it's really long now to boot. With these, I can actually often just use 1 or sometimes 2 to section my hair off the way I want. I am amazed that they work so well. These seem to be sturdy enough to last me a good long time. I keep them stored, clipped onto the cardboard that they were attached to when they arrived so they don't get lost in the drawer. Because they work so well, I don't know if I will ever need so many of them. I guess it's good to have more than a couple in case they break someday.
This is so unfortunate. While they at first appear to be sturdy, the ends actually snap incredibly easily. I'm not using him to grab bunches of hair or anything like that. I'm not opening the clip very wide at all. With very little pressure, they've just been snapping. About half of them have broken already, and I just bought them earlier this summer. I've only used to them three or four times. Don't waste your dollars.
Keeps sectioned off hair in place, so far, so strands stationed good. Now, one of my relatives, who has been a steady receiver of my coif creations for a couple decades, wants me to buy the rainbow clips, when I cut her hair, next time! To tell you the truth, I loved all the color options, so it was sort of a momentary challenge as to which set to start with as a first time purchase:) SO, I chose purple, though. Although all the colors offered are equally scrumptious! You know these are a great way to tip your favorite hair dresser, if you know they have a need. [THANK YOU!]
Please do not purchase if you’re natural. Three clips broke while in my already sectioned, combed out hair. My finger got primed trying to remove the other half of the broken clip from my hair. Thank goodness I only needed a bandage for my finger. I regret buying this item!
I used to have some of these from a different brand. Once they all broke after a few years, I thought I would try some clips at a lower price point. It turns out that price does make a difference. The plastic on these is very hard and brittle, so the first one broke after about a week. I returned them because I expect that they will all break very quickly.
In addition, I was not able to get them out of my hair without snagging because the bottom part also has a little bumps on it. So there was no way to pull it out cleanly since my hair is very thick and course.
These are a great value. They are sturdy, hold a lot of hair and I haven't have any problems with them falling out or getting caught and pulling my hair. I think they might come out if I pulled on them, but not on their own. The packaging was fine; they arrived undamaged and within the estimated time given. I can't believe I got 10 of these at this price.
I Originally Thought These Had A Bit More Purple But They Work So Good That They Are Fine As They Are...Now The Purple Latch Sometimes Lifts In The Back Even When Clip Is Closed But I Don't Mind That Because It Pops Right Back Into Place &&& Clip Holds Position In Any Hair Type Without Slipping Off At All...Also...It Have Tiny Grips On The Tail Of The Clip...(Looks Like A Circle With Tiny Black Dots) It Prevents Finger From Slipping Which Works Great...I Was In Process Of Using Them So My Pics Show A Little Hair Grease On Them But Greasy Fingers In All...I Had 0 Problems...Now To Be Clear They Were Delivered 2 Me Clean...The Oily Look Is My Doing...Anyways Well Worth $$$!!!
Already breaking. I thought this company would be different than the last company I bought similar clips from last year. Those all broke after 2 months. I guess, no matter how rugged they LOOK, crappy plastic clips just stay crappy. These are not meant for hair with anything close to a wave or a curl or any bulk to it. They look like they should, but they don’t. Save your money and see if you can find something with a bit of rubber/latex/silicone in its molecular makeup to get just that little bit of give and flexibility. If someone wants to invent something like this with a bit more durability, call me asap. Thanks!
These work really well to section off my thick hair. I had been using a different style of clip but they pulled my hair down in a way that was kind of uncomfortable. These are nice and gentle. So far they've held up really well, but for how many you get for the price, I'm okay even if a couple break here or there.
