My do does love the product
Do you care about what goes in his/her tummy?
Do you want your puppy's full attention like never before?
If you answered yes to any one of those three questions (hell, even if you said yes to just one of them), then BUY THESE TREATS.
First off, from when you rip off the top and open that bag for the first time, be prepared for that meaty, cheesy smell to explode in your face. Seriously, sit down before you open this bag or it might just knock you right on your ass. I had to fight my husband off so that he wouldn't just dig in and eat the entire bag (he did try one, though, like he does with all of the treats that we buy for our babies, just to see first-hand what we're feeding them).
Secondly, the puppies will smell these things from 2 miles down the road, underwater, with muzzles on. Be prepared for their sudden madness.
And lastly (but most importantly, for me, as their mommy), these aren't chock full of nasty additives or harmful chemicals like many other treats are. We try to get the best for our babies, including fresh raw meat from time to time as well as fruits and vegetables and such, so we try to be good about treats, too.
As a BONUS: these things are smooth and dry on the outside, but moist and chewy on the inside. Great for the pups, awesome for non-sticky hands and fingers after training sessions.
These aren't the cheap, by the bulk treats that some people may prefer to buy to be frugal, but in our book, they're worth every cent.
If my review has helped you in any way, please let me know, or hit "Yes" under this review. Thank you! :)
If you’re comparing these to Zuke’s Mini Naturals, I estimate that both are the same size, but Zuke’s are shorter and wider. Zuke’s treats are also 3 calories. My pup seems to like them equally. Zuke’s are firmer and more crumbly when I break them in half which makes it a little messier, but they are still soft enough to easily break with my fingers.
With the current price it is actually making it more cost effective to simply buy 4 lbs of ground turkey at Sams Club at $13 to cook and store. He also tends to get more excited for that anyway. I will stick with these for now just because of the convenience factor but I don't know how much more these treats are going to be worth it if the price keeps going up.
These are more expensive than Dingo and Zukes, both of which I have purchased a number of times, but they have better ingredients so I guess you get what you pay for. Although Molly eats these treats, she still does prefer Dingos. I gave her a choice and it was no contest. When I run out of Dingos, I won't replace them and my dog will forget all about the Dingos she loves. I think I will stick with these for the health of my dog. They are pricey though and I hope they don't get pricier!

They are soft, and seem to stay soft and chewy. I got the salmon flavor and they DO smell fishy, but not overwhelmingly so. They ARE small TRAINING sized treats. IT seems like a good product, I would recommend them if your dog is not EXTREMELY sensitive to dairy, soy, or wheat. Both of my dogs like these. One of my dogs is starting to itch and this is the only odd factor out (that i know about). I do know that glycerin, natural flavor, and tocopherols can sometimes be a derivative of soy or dairy. The product does claim to not have wheat, soy or dairy, but the FDA does not require that claim to be backed by that being 100%, so I don't know if that includes derivatives or not. All I know is that my dog is itchy......
FYI: They will go hard if you leave the treats out in a treat bag, or in your pocket. Leftover treats from your morning walk, will be tiny hard pebbles by the evening walk. So you will want to put back unused treats back in the bag for freshness.
I've only received one pack (out of the 15+ we've gone through) that was slightly stale and hard to break apart. Had also ordered the cheese version of the chewy treats, but they were VERY hard. They may have just been stale, but I never ordered them again.
If there was a way I could purchase this in bulk, I would.
