I had the same exact pair that I bought in an actual Cole Haan store for twice the price that I LOVED! So I was super happy to find them for 1/2 the retail price on Amazon. THE CATCH?? They are not nearly the same quality as the ones bought at retail. The padding especially around the back ankle is non existent and causes chafing. Also, the insole is nowhere near as cushioned and caused heal pain. The original pair were mad comfortable so I am seriously disappointed. Wish I could return but they are worn. Next time I will pay full price in the store since these were a waste of $.
As others have made mention the leather feels and appears to be more on the micro thin side. Almost to more along the line of being a veneer.
The shoe over all is exceptionally light weight and looks good. However, it is not a running or sports shoe, I don't feel that it would up to taking the beating of any had use. Now if you are looking for nice looking shoe for wearing with your casual attire, this may be what your looking for. This shoe also runs on the long side of the normal fitment scale.
With one major painful exception. The way that the top of the shoe is designed and built the leather reinforced edge will rub and carve into the rear ankle area of your foot. I am currently trying to soften up this area of the shoe and stretch the leather rearward at the top rear edge to keep from having to endure this pain.
Very attractive shoes, but they run small and narrow and the leather appears too fragile. If they had fit, I might have kept them but for my concern the leather upper would separate from the glues sole. Overpriced at $71. Paying a premium for the name and the shoes aren't worth it.
These shoes were nice at first, they fit great and looked great. But I noticed they became scuffed and the soles wear out rather easily. I thought they would last longer, but after a while they looked to grungy to even wear to work. These shoes lasted about 6 months max, before they started falling apart. I am fine with buying new shoes every year, but six months is kind of ridiculous considering I have other shoes I wear to work and theses were just part of the rotation, so they got very light use overall.
Bought these for semi-casual wear. I bought another similar pair with white soles several months earlier. I was interested in the same uppers but the black soles were desirable to me. I assumed the leather uppers would be of similar quality, however, I was disappointed to find that the quality of leather in my latest purchase was considerably below my expectation. Finish is dull and the leather is not as supple as the first pair of Cole Haan shoes. I thought I could expect a similar quality. These not only look cheap, but they are not as comfortable. I guess I'll have to search for a better manufacturer next time. I'm keeping these because I needed the black soles. It's like many manufacturers today. They forget that exciting quality rapidly becomes expected quality. It's OK to improve quality without notice, but compromising quality is unacceptable.
I love the way these look and were my summer 2019 go-to shoes...However, by the end of the summer, they were no longer able to be used. Since they're leather they don't breath well and can cause some pretty insane odors to emit as you remove your shoes after a long day out. They look amazing, are pretty easy to clean, but if you're prone to sweaty and/or smelly feet, stay away.
this is my 3rd pair! it’s the perfect tradition all white Tennis sneaker, no flaws or complaints about the shoe. My only issue was that they shipped this pair without a box; the leather arrived scoffed up and a bit creased on the sides, so I will have to fix these up myself. luckily the markings are on the sides closer to the heel.
The shoes are decent for their price. They have no significant brandings and are fully off-white (not pure white). The leather is good quality and the insides are smooth and comfy for short term wear.
The shoes however are quite hard and irritate my skin and caused severe bleeding on the backs of my feet the first time I wore them. The soles are also firm and a bit uncomfortable. And the material wrinkles easily and doesnt hold so they dont appear fitted or slim.
Bought 3 pair for son in laws for Christmas. Box is cheesy, lightly printed, shoes are super light. Just don't feel like they are real Cole Haans. I'm going to offer the sons a chance to return them. Awkward as the giver...Lesson learned...
I really wanted to like these shoes, but the color bothered me too much to keep them. The uppers are a bright blue-grey white and the soles are an ivory white, and the contrast bugged me. These were really nice leather, and I loved the look overall. Just me being fussy, but there it is.
