The shoes are very light and very comfortable - ok job, Cole Haan.
However, I’ve never owned a pair of shoes that smelt so bad of plastic. These literally smelt more plasticy than putting your head in a garbage bag. I could smell plastic before I even opened the shoe box. They say they’re leather - complete lie. I’m honestly chapped because they fit and feel so nice, but there’s no way I’m paying what I did for a pair of terrible smelling plasticy “leather” shoes.
I've been a fan of Cole Haan Grand Tours for a long time - the fit, the feel, the comfort, all great! These not so much! They rub my ankle to the point where they bleed after less than 30 minutes of walking. Can't break them in, very disappointed. Waste of $100.
I love Cole Haan stuff but finds that it runs very large. In almost EVERY other brand I wear a 12.5-13 shoe. In Cole Haan, I wear an 11 or 11.5. In this particular shoe I wear an 11.5 for the toe comfort but could wear an 11 in length. I would at least order a 1/2 size down if not a full size.
Extremely cheap leather that seems like it would be ruined after 1 wear. Lower quality than I would have expected from Payless. Also the sizing is off from other Cole Haan shoes I own. I usually wear an 11.5 but these were at least a full size too large. I question the authenticity. I should have checked the reviews. Immediate return.
Bought a pair, they arrived a little dirty and the leather was damaged (warped and wrinkled). Returned and replaced and was sent an even more damaged shoe. They look like they’ve been on display in a store. Definitely not the quality you see in the mall for Cole Haan. Would not recommend.
