Ok, i was officially hooked after trying my first pack and have subsequently stocked up with more packs!
Over a period of 2 weeks, no spot was too big or small to test their effectiveness - and yes, i found them to work for me. Anytime something threatened to rear its ugly head on my face i'd apply a patch it up quick sticks. They did the trick in stopping any breakouts from getting out of control. My spots either disappeared, faded somewhat or at least calmed down and were prevented from turning beastly.
Having never tried any spot patches before i was immediately impressed by their effectiveness: these worked in calming/protecting my spot(s). They're fairly discreet on the skin and although you can tell they're there if you really look, they're not glaringly obvious - if that makes sense. Of course the type, age, and location of the spot will affect the effectiveness of the patch and the degree to which the patch is noticeable. The cool thing is that the pack offers several different patch sizes options to really tailor the remedy to the problem. There is a slight natural medicinal smell to the patches when you sniff inside it's packet. I have sensitive skin but i did not find this patch to be irritating at all.
Last week i was even able to road-test them during my summer holiday escape. The climate was hot (it got to 35c+ !!) but also occasionally humid and windy. I wore the patches to sleep and then throughout the next day during which time i'd walk heaps, sweat a lot and swim in the ocean. I'd try to keep them on as long as possible but after slathers of SPF50 mixed with salty water would find myself reaching that point in the day when the lifting around the edges and even the slightest discoloration would be way too bothersome and obvious to continue wearing out in public.
I did burn through my first pack fast because i was curious to see how they'd work for my different spot scenarios. If you're contemplating trying them out it's investing in a bit of a trial and error phase to figure out how to best get the most from their use, see how they wear over time on your skin and manage expectations. ie. if you know you get angry pimples that could turn into a large cystic-like spot if not nipped in the bud, this might be the thing to cut the angst...it may or may not necessarily eradicate it but could calm it down to the point of manageability instead of a painful and weeks' long nightmare. Horses for courses.
NB: it's early days but i've since used another spot patch brand which i've also found to be effective, even easier to apply and surprisingly more discreet on the skin (because of product and package design). I recommend and will continue to use both for different applications and needs.
NB: after prolonged use it will leave sticky residue so i'd suggest cleaning the area gently but thoroughly.
