Heavy, solidly built. When I use the handset and it stretches the cord, the base of the unit does NOT move at all--how wonderful! Nothing about the phone seems flimsy. I've had the phone for about 6 months and very much like it. I wish the buttons lit up when the headset is lifted off the base. The headset is comfortable in my hand, just like phones used to be in the old days. I recommend this and am a very happy customer.
The phone is cute. It's basically rotary dialing done through push buttons, so it's slow, but the main issue is that the sound quality is not good. The outgoing sound quality is very bad, which I did not discover until a few days after Amazon's final return date. I've contacted the company to see if they will take a direct return but have not heard back (it was just a few days ago).
Received today, love love it, brings back memories when I had a blue one. Made good and heavy, talked on it already, no static and person on other end said it sounded good and clear! I hope it lasts and will update in a few months. You won't be disappointed with the way it's made, nice and heavy! Thanks Amazon, you have everything I look for!
My item came in in a opened use box . It looks used and the buttons look yellowesh. The cord it came with is darker the then the phone itself . I don’t as very disappointed when I received my item it wasn’t mailed out inside of another box so no one can see what it was it just had a shipping label on it .At that I tried to conect to and it doesn’t work.
I wish this phone had the former official "rotary dial", but otherwise I love the phone. The call volume is not that great, but that could be based on my own hearing. Back in the day, these phones had no volume adjustment, therefore overall I am giving this phone a 5-Star rating. At least now people can hear me better and no more dropped calls.
Just like the original I used to lease from our phone company, except this one features Redial, Flash, Volume Controls (Receiver & Ring) and Push Buttons (I actually would have loved a dial pad!) The receiver is a bit heavy, but it has the same solid feel as the original Princess phone we had many years ago. Phone itself is solid & heavy...stays put if curly-cord is pulled or extended. Sound quality is wonderful...no buzzing or muted voice on other end. HIGHLY recommend!
This was my first phone when I was young. I like the quality of this phone. Heavy and I like the earpiece as it is easier for me to hear with the shape of the earphone. These old phone designs just can't be beat. All the newer phones are so flimsy and plasticy.
