the "keep warm" doesn't keep warm gradually, it just reboils it on a loop every so many minutes and you can audibly hear that - this kettle isn't on the loud spectrum of kettles but its not quiet either compared to high end "quiet models" i've bought previously. Guests will remark how cool it is that your kettle can do so many various teas, but if you don't drink a variety of specialty tea you will find no value in this other than the reboil feature. The thumb release button for the lid feels really premium and lid/arm are really premium and are really sturdy, you can have the lid fully upright and tilt it on any angle and physically its really dependable.
Buying this kettle was my solution to loved ones saying "i just boiled that already! don't waste power!" so i could seemingly have a coffee 5 minutes after somebody else and have it adequately hot without contention. Although this simply upgraded to all of us accidentally not pressing the bugged out toggle off and everyone in the family are now guilty of letting the kettle reboil itself 20-40 times a month collectively.
Within 9 months my first one just stopped reboiling at all and amazon replaced it - the weird bug with the keep warm feature started again with the new one eventually - if this second one dies within the year i'll know its not a once off. So if you're a tea aficionado or you don't care about electricity this might be for you. But if you're crazy about coffee you're probably better off with a percolator/maker machine at this price point.
Only negative with the previous one was after a year or so, the writing in the buttons faded entirely.
