These strings were bought for a Primavera Loreato and proved to be very good indeed.
1. Quick to settle down - so they stop going out of tune quickly - stay in tune (electronic) for about a week after a week or so. 2. Lovely tone. 3. Comfortable to the fingers. 4. Long lasting, well made and have a quality finished. 5. Very good price, considering the quality - a Dominant replacement.
3 sets (2 as backup) were bought and after racking up at least 400 hours of practice & orchestral performance over 18months, only 2 strings needed replacing, one of which ("A" string) had its wound metal coat damaged by a metal object. The only string to fail due to normal wear and tear was the "E" string, which after 16months, started "humming" to itself.

these are very nice strings and good value - i bought some cheap ones previously and boy am i glad i ditched them and got these - they have a nice warm tone and feel good quality which is proportionate to the price - i play traditional irish/scottish plus old time and these are just the job - would recommend them for the warm tone etc but even as a safe option if you're finding it hard to work out what strings to get..
These are a must have for anyone with a child learning the violin. If your budding musician gets squeeks from their violin that cause bats to fall from their roosts then these will solve that problem. They give a rich warm tone to any small violin. Make practice an enjoyable experience. They bed in quickly and because they are over wound synthetic cored strings they have good tuning stability. Make your music teacher smile. Good value.
I brought these strings as they seemed to be good. I needed to change the bridge on my son's 3/4 size violin and so thought I would change the strings as well, as they were originally a mixed bag of naff sounding strings.
These strings do sound good on what is a hideously cheap violin. (I got it free though broken with a case I wanted). That said a lot of the improvement was by fitting a new bridge, and leaving it thick cut.
All that said, the violin now sounds a lot lot better than it did do before I changed anything! Certainly, in this price range, a set of strings I would recommend.

Over the years i have purchased many different makes of strings from the lower end of the market to some quite expensive sets. In my opinion the D'Addario Pro-Arte medium tension set i purchased recently are certainly one of the best to date. They have a warm rich tone, with very short break in time, and once settled seem to remain very stable. I can definately recommend them as excellent quality for a mid-range priced product.
