To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I put this Diawa 50lb J-Braid 8 on a Shimano Saragosa 10,000 reel and use it off a breakwall and from a boat close to shore. It certainly is a good quality braid that can withstand some abrasion on the rockwall. It also has the strength to save some hooks and sinkers and will break off cungi where I fish. I've found when using a lighter braid I would generally lose the whole rig but using this I, more often then not, lose only my hook.
I really wanted to like this braid, but it's cost me to many lost fish. Knots come undone easily and the line tends to break well before the 50lb rating. I've never had so many problems with a braid like this one. This is coming from a big daiwa and made in Japan fan. Both of which was a huge plus. Now I'm having to peel off 660 yards of this braid from my reels. I really should stick with power pro. Every time I try something new I'm left disappointed, not to say it's the best, I'm just done using my hard earned money to find out.
