I am a big fan of apocalyptic book series, but I have gone through a few where I lost interest in the first few pages. This book I couldn't put down. They style of writing is great, and although a bit predictable I still found myself loving how it played out. Looking forward to the next one.

Read in one sitting as I couldn’t put it down. Exciting reading of simultaneous events unfolding in multiple locations with everyone fighting to survive. Need to read the next one to find out what happens.

I am now on to the third book in this series and whilst everything is a bit predictable I find myself enjoying the books and there is the occasional turn that makes you sit up and read more. Quite good.

I like to read EMO style books, but Jack Hunt has a unique way in the way he writes, if I see him as the author O know the story quality is encased in the book.
Thanks for another thrilling story

Great fast paced action with nicely fleshed out characters. Scary because of its highly plausible narrative. Ready for the next one.

Lately haven’t been impressed with most post-apocalyptic books, but this was great. Probably the most enjoyable EMP story I’ve read. Definitely recommend.

Great Read!

I love dystopian/disaster books but so many are just echoes of eachother.
This book has a great, fast paced storyline with multiple viewpoints from different characters.
The characters are interesting, relatable and real.
The book manages to build a dark, realistic and exciting story with factual information and creates a very plausible and possible world extinction event.
Graphic without being glorified, dark and very human.
Already got book 2.

A very good read

A very good read leaving me wanting to read the sequel. Set in the future (not so distant) with the implication of a nuclear attack by N Korea n the US continent, it relates the story of 3 guys and a girl thrown together in Times Square and their tricky trek north after all power vanishes for good (?) after a probably EMP strike. The novel goes into their backgrounds their trials on the journey to the original home of one of them as well relating the effects of the blackout on his family who he left a year earlier. It was gripping enough to keep me reading long after I should have put it down for the night!

Imagine the day!

Never was there a book that was so 'on it' in terms of current world affairs and the global security nightmare!
Having just finished reading the wonderful Days of Panic I was drawn to the nightmare scenario nuclear weapons can deliver in a micro-second! I live within 10 miles of Scotland's nuclear submarine base and have often pondered the "what if's" of a nuclear strike, I guess Elliot and his fellow travelers were in a better place and the unknown nature of the cause of their particular doomsday would not be how it would unfold here! We might be able to say "what was that bang?" before the final moments!
I can recommend Days of Panic as a brilliantly written and cleverly thought out piece of literature, my sincere thanks to Jack Hunt for allowing us access to our own "Imagine the day"

Good apocalyptic story with a good background of all characters. People thrown together at the pinnacle of an emp attack. Everything stops and madness begins. These four people need to learn to survive in a vastly changed world.
Written well and intersring take on an apocalypse. Different from the norm.
