I used some pliers and gently re-crimped that rivet and all the others in the hopes that they stay intact.
While there is a small mark on each rivet now you barely notice it and we'll see how it stays together.
If I don't update this review just know that it's holding up.
Oh I also used just a small amount of lock tight on the mounting/retaining nuts to ensure that it doesn't loosen up after use.
Very attractive mirror with a great finish.
Three mounting points for extra security
Comes with mounting hardware (3 short wood screws and 3 drywall anchor/screws)
Installation was very easy if you've done basic things like this before. It's installed in my drywall and feels very sturdy. You definitely need an electric drill (well, maybe not definitely, but it's significantly more difficult without one). The directions say to use the two screws/drywall bolts, but I used all three provided to make it more sturdy. The directions also say to drill a 1/8" hole, but that wasn't quite big enough, so I bumped up to the next size. So far it's been up for two weeks with no issues.
After some searching around the local Home Stores I gave up. Then thought, I wonder if I can find one online?
The mirror was easier to install then I though it would be, the packaging was beyond what I would have assumed, excellent. It folds nicly out of the way when Not in use, and pulls easily to extend beyond the sink when needed. My wife is about a foot shorter than myself, however the tilting allows us both to use the mirror quite easily. Makes putting my contacts in much simpler, and her make-up application time has decreased by about 50%. (Not that she really needs it)
***Make sure you install it with a WALL STUD. It's really, really HEAVY (which I like) and solid, well built. But I would never install it with the flimsy toggle bolts it came with (what a joke). That would just be asking for trouble. I saw many, many reviews with fallen mirrors. The seller/manufacturer should really specify that but doesn't.
