The charecter growth feels natural, Zac slowly grows into the sort of person he needs to be to survive and actually learns about his mistakes which is incredible.
Looking forward for more to come.
I love the story progression, it doesn't stagnate, personally I like the fact that the MC is the main focus with side characters story given enough page time that you still understand whats going on with them.
the world building gives this story/books endless possibilities on what could happen in future with MC or other future characters.
the Universe you created is magnificent, look forward to reading your works again.
Endlessly page turning, great imagination, awesome progression fantasy.
Can’t recommend it enough. Another 4 more words

This series so far is doing 2 things really well for me. The length of the books have been really good as multiple events happen over the course of the book while also being explored in enough detail to add weight to Zac’s decisions. Secondly the series doesn’t try to spin too many plates. It’s mostly lives in the moment with some foreshadowing to increase intrigue rather than giving Zac 15 quests which take 6 books to go anywhere creating a complete mess of the story.
I look forward to reading Book 3 in the future.

I did notice the overuse of 'compared to' when other words could have been used - 'than' works just as well for most instances and I often found myself thrown out a little. Also the strange usage of 'should' where the author means 'were' or similar that I've noticed in a few of these novels - I'm not sure where it comes from, but it's strange.
Otherwise, a nice easy read with some interesting ideas.
