It's great if you have nothing but unseen dirt to pick up, but I have kitty litter and cat hair and this vac can't pick up litter unless I take the brush off and painstakingly vacuum the floor with just the pipe; it also can't pick up anything like cardboard scratched off a cat scratcher, because this vac blows air out at floor level. Cat hair and anything light that isn't directly under the vacuum cleaner (regardless of what fitting is on it) gets blown away, so this vac blows a heck of a lot more than it sucks. I spend a lot of time going over the same area chasing blown cat fur or cardboard, and going over the area with kitty litter without the brush.
Instead of being a time saving tool this vacuum is a huge time waster. If it can't pick up litter and blows everything lighter than that away, what's the point?
The brush is also terrible. Mine didn't spin at all from the beginning, and when it suddently did start to spin, it stopped working due to hair tangled in it. The brush isn't removable so getting the vacuum to work (it stopped sucking altogether when the brush became clogged) was also a painstaking process of digging scissors in through the small slot and working the caught hair out bit by bit by bit ugh!
I expected to get what I paid for, but that did mean a vacuum that would at least NOT blow away what it's supposed to be picking up. I also expected based on reviews that this vacuum could handle picking up litter. A really frustrating and pointless purchase.
The good thing about it, is that I specifically bought a vac that has a button on/off, rather than needing to hold down a trigger which is terrible. Dyson's are like that, wouldn't buy a Dyson either I've used heaps of those through work.
I wouldn't recommend this vac to anyone who actually has visible debris they need picked up, or to anyone with pets that need fur removed as opposed to being blown all over the place.
I should point out that my entire flat is tiled, no carpets. People with carpet probably have no idea how substandard this equipment is.
