We recently moved and our 2 cats began scratching at furniture and flooring. I bought these hoping they would help, they did! They work great, you do need to be a little careful when applying-it is applied with superglue, after all. My cats got used to them and we took some funny videos of kitty's with painted nails walking fun when we first applied them!
I mistakenly ordered a size too big. Not like accidentally, I just overjudged the size of my cats claws. He didnt mind them! I probably put a little too much glue so he had some tiny clumps of glued fur around his claws. But being that they are definitely a chinese generic "brand", I'd be careful of the glue; as there is no way to be sure it is safe for your cats skin. -1 star for unknown origin... would do -.5 stars if possible.
Initially I was surprised at the amount of caps you get for the price. Thought it was worth a try. The glue seems like the standard glue that comes with the kitty caps, which isn’t overly long lasting. I think my cat lost a cap within the first few days. No biggie, kind of expected it. However I am pretty unimpressed with the fact that the ends of these caps (within the first 7 days) have lost their tips. So essentially the sharper part of my cat’s nail is now sticking out of the end. This is probably the most inconvenient of malfunctions because the cap is still glued to the nail..... so I can’t just replace the cap. So if anything this cat cap is protecting the dang claws from me adding cat caps! Not really impressed.
I bought this product to keep my cat from scratching the carpet. It sounded like a good idea but it was not. It comes in a package with many nails as describes and looks just like the picture. What they fail to tell you is that you must use glue to put the nails on the cat. Yes, glue. Almost like glue, you would put fake acrylic nails on yourself with. The glue kept getting stuck to my cat's fur causing it to become matted and when he shook his paw ALL of the nails fell off. I will NOT be buying this product or anything like it again.
Honestly just spend your money on the real ones. These do NOT stay on as long as the more expensive ones. Using them though because I bought them, but I’m going to have to replace them more often than the name brand ones. I got large and they are huge. I have to cut them every single time to fit my 2 cats claws.
First of all I’ve been searching dogs claw caps and amazon recommend me that. Why?! I thought ok, may be large dogs and cats ha the same claws’ side. Who knows... guess what, it’s not! It’s not work for dog
My cat has the habbit of clawing when jumping on furniture and these have been great so far. He doesn't like them very much but it stops the clawing. He spent last night trying to get them off but only removed one. It takes a steady hand and it took 2 of us to do I (one to hold the cat and one to glue and place) all together worth it if they stay on
Came with five packets of nail covers and five tubes of super glue. The super glue was the variety used for fake nails and was not strong enough to keep on my cat’s claws. My cat chewed most of them off and I will reattempt to reapply more thoroughly to ensure long lasting nail covers.
I never should have bought these. I bought them for my cat because he has a habit of attacking my dog for little to no reason, and I feel absolutely horrible. It uses literal super glue. I can’t get it off my fingers, much less off of my cat. I have only had them on him for twenty minutes and I’m already crying because I’m so distraught.
