Could be a nifty little item. But the battery cover allowed water ingress which stopped the item working after one use! We took off the battery cover and it worked again when it had dried out, but it would appear not to be fit for purpose. So we had to return it.
We requested a return and it was picked up on 1st June. Nothing happened until 15th July. Amazon told us the item may have been lost in transit. A bit rubbish that no procedure appears to be in place to ensure this issue is not flagged up. We wasted time having to chase it. Sorted by Amazon.
Bought to replace a Tommee Tippee bath thermometer which leaked and went rusty after a handful of uses. I've been using our new rubber ducky thermometer for a few weeks now and it's great! No leaks, we are confident it is accurate, it floats nicely and baby likes to kick it around in the water while we wash him. Very happy.
2.0 out of 5 starsGreat thermometer but a sinking duck.

I was very excited about this. In the first couple of baths it was great. The light is useful and it seems to be very precise with temperature intervals between a tenth of a degree Celsius. But after a few baths it began to fill with water and now capsizes so you can no longer see the temperature when it is half in the water due to diffraction. I have to hold it upright in position to see the temperature and make sure it's reading correctly. The temperature function hasn't been compromised but it is a pain. I tried to empty the water out but it transpires there is a hole in the middle of the duck behind the head next to the sensor components that is very difficult to get to and once you do it is impossible to pour the water out. Water tips to the tail end where there is no hole. I would recommend popping out the middle sensor and display and filling the hole with silicone before you use it. I may need to make a new hole to get the water out and then fill both holes... Hassle. Disappointing. Torn between rating this 2 or 3 stars. A big shame.

These are great, I got one when my baby was born - he's now 9 months and I just bought one as a present for a friend because I can't imagine bathtime without it. Takes all the stress out of getting the temperature right.
