If you buy a non-slip mat like ours in the picture it does the job but be very careful when you fold it because the plastic bits break easily if you start folding the wrong way around. It's also very heavy and needs to be kept our of reach of children when folded

My dog had a knee operation and had to be caged for 7 weeks :( This was ideal. I had it open against the wall which made it longer so could accommodate her bed etc. It will also be great when I move house as the hallway is quite wide, and this will be great as a doggy barrier as it can just be opened right up, fixed to the walls and you have the gate in the middle. Very versatile.
