There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
I took a chance because I had seen a video somewhere that said a knock box is no use when you have a pressurised portafilter basket. Not true at all.
A couple of taps and it comes out like a puck. Nice and clean.

Works as it’s supposed to, not had a problem with crazy splattering up wall (just occassional spot), easy to rinse with water, strong and can take a good whack without any issues.
I've had zero spills or any grounds falling outside - it's easily large enough for my 54mm portafilter. Some users might not realise that the area striking the bar is the portafilter basket, not the handle - it's a center-bar design after all. Doing it wrong will result in grounds going everywhere out the back. The dimensions of the box should make that obvious. That may restrict very firm/hardened dry pucks that don't break apart easily, but I've never had that issue.
Using the ice cream container was very different. Hit the group on the edge of the ice cream container and coffee previously in the container flies out and lands all over everything including the coffee you’ve just made etc etc. Treat yourself and get one of these, you won’t regret it!
The company put a leaflet in with some of their other products and they seem to have some good ideas for improvements on everyday items, might have to try their garlic crusher next.
Its been used at least twice everyday since then so I would say it is sturdy. It is easy to clean as there is nothing to snag coffee grinds on.
Its simple but effective and has stopped him dripping coffee all over the floor as the coffee machine is on the other side of the room from the sink.
Unfortunately, my machine creates soggy pucks, so I have to bang it several times, it leaves sludge on the bar, and my wife hates the mucky look. So we're probably going to revert to scraping it out with a spoon.
The only issue I have with this is that if I empty it there is always some coffee left in the bottom which I never bother to wash out, this inevitably goes mouldy and is disgusting. If you wan it out every few days this shouldn't be an issue but I am always rushing out the door in the morning after I make coffee so I never wash it until it's too late
