The stand looks good, works well and is very handy for adjusting the viewing angle of the Show 5.
But, when Amazon can sell an Echo Dot (3rd Gen) for $36 with all its electronics etc, $29.95 for a stand made from a couple of bits of plastic seems way over the top.

The Echo Show 5 is a great new addition to the Amazon family. But do you need the Stand? I think so, as it allows you to select the perfect angle from which to view your Echo Show display. This is especially important if you place it in your bedroom and need to check the time in the middle of the night, without lifting your head from the pillow :)

I recently upgraded from the Echo Dot to the Echo Show 5. I always liked the Echo Dot but now I really like the Echo Show 5 - I am so glad I made the change. The Echo Show 5 has a good display and the sound quality is excellent. This device sits in the kitchen and its great to listen to music and watch the news. I like it. Definitely was a good purchase.

I didn't end up buying this but I brought one of their products from someone else and they work well except for one thing the Bluetooth does not work on Samsung TVs I don't know about other TV's but this little unit works well but not connecting Bluetooth I would recommend this person to anyone but I should jest if you by 1 check if it pops up to your TV by Bluetooth otherwise it's pointless

This should always have been part of the Echo Show 5, not an add on. It makes her look so much better. Needs a little more forward tilt. I have it at eye height and it is a little hard to adjust the camera angle.

A total ripoff. Not worth even half the cost Amazon have put upon it. I bought two of the new Amazon Alexa show model, so l bought two of these to go with them. I really do feel scammed. DEFINITELY NOT worth the money.

These ‘stands’ do hold the display in place quite well. However, they are not adjustable down to the point of getting the screen vertical nor, obviously, lower. Fully lowered the screen and camera still point slightly upward towards the ceiling. My grandchildren can see the screen ok, but can’t get themselves into frame to transmit their picture when ‘Dropping In’. Disappointing!

The stands are quite sturdy and the machine is held in place by magnets, l think, though not very strong ones if that is the case.

I bought this with the expectation that I'd be able to position the Show to point slightly downwards. For the camera to get a decent view of the room, I wanted to place it on the mantlepiece angled down about 10 degrees but the furthest forward it is possible to angle it is still about 20 degrees back from vertical - so the view is of the ceiling :(
