Very disappointment with this blade. I bought it because of the many good reviews, and when I first got it I was impressed with the initial cuts, but after cutting about 25 pieces of 3mm mild steel, (the blade states up to 6mm), it was apparent that more and more force was needed to cut the metal, as the teeth had gone as blunt as a baby's posterior. I have had Bosch jigsaw blades do 10 times more work at a fraction of the cost and they are not even TCT.

Now on my third blade in the last couple of years, butI have used them to cut 50 x 50 x 6 mm steel box section, 77 x 75 x 8mm angles as well as loads of smaller stuff doing home fabrication projects, from dog crates to wrought iron gates to a gothic style steel 4 poster bed . Dont try and force the blades by putting too much pressure on and they last me for ages - and even when past it on steel they are still good for timber. I havent tried sharpening one yet, but am pretty sure a decent diamond sharpening stone would do the trick with a bit of patience.
I just wish these had been available 30 odd years ago when I was working as a construction engineer

Just purchased my second blade. This was delivered before noon the next day with Amazon Prime. I am in the middle of a job so needed to continue after the first blade stopped cutting. I was using it to cut mild steel angle iron. At first it cut cleanly with no sparks. After a number of cuts it started to spark, but still cut through. The third stage was when the metal started to glow red hot at the point of contact and the cut was laboured. Finally it stopped cutting and the saw was jittering about. At this point it still cut through wood but not easily. I deduce from all this that the blade has a finite life expectancy. While it beats hands down grinding, it still has its limitations and cost being one of them. I do not know if they can be resharpened. I will see about this later.

Waste of money, maybe ok for cutting wood plastic. Used on 3mm mild steel for 50mm cross cuts initially for the first couple of cuts went through like a hot knife through butter but by the 4th cut was struggling to make any impact at all blunt as can be and now scrap. Had to finish job with the angle grinder. Expected better for the money very disappointed. Had better expectations of this product cost £6 a cut. Got several more cuts out of a silverline 115mm metal cutting disc cost per cut around 8 pence!!

Make no mistake the original was well used , but I didn't realise how blunt it had become.

set it up correctly at exactly square, and WOW, what a nice clean cut.

I still haven't cut metal with it but wood, plastic no problem
