Journal is beautiful, exactly as picture. There are two clasps at the top and bottom, metal, and they clamp together to close the journal. Red is vivid, with gold detailing - design looks pagan or something. Just lovely. The inside is lined, with the paper a lovely cream color. There are no pockets on the inside of the journal as many of the ones from this brand do.
Only issue was the package initially got lost. It was meant as a Christmas gift but didn't arrive. Company was good about it, sent another copy as soon as the issue was brought up - all in all it took 4 weeks from the order date for it to arrive. But the quality is great, and I got it for about 14 pounds, which is well below the asking price on prime.
The quality of this journal is great, and I really like the pattern on the cover. However for £20 I expected this to be an A4 size journal and it’s A5. My mistake, so I’ll keep it, but I think it’s overpriced for such a small book.
Sturdy cover with solid magnetised closures, though it's larger than you'd expect. The paper is thick and smooth, but not slick, so it takes ink well. I've tried several pens and markers (including a fountain pen) and none have bled through. Very pleased with the purchase and will be buying more.
I ordered this book and it arrived very quickly - so thank you! It is suitable size, lovely for what i want and comes with a little pocket at the back. However it is not as bright or gold coloured as the photos show and there were some marks on the front that weren't part of the design as they were white and fluffed as if something had torn or scratched the cover, so not worth the high price tag in my opinion. However, I am satisfied with book itself and more than pleased with the delivery and sellers but would not purchase again.
These are gorgeous. I love the metal clasps and the journal is very impressive in person. The only drawback might be that they look so nice you won't want to "despoil" them by actually filling them - but hey, you can always get another. Also great gifts for the bookish person/stationery addict in your life.
