Does what it says. Used this on a headless server so splashtop would display an appropriate resolution (1920x1080). Only thing I'd like to see would be a way to tighten the adapter so it won't get bumped/fall off. Will be buying more!

I hated that I had to buy a package of three to get one, but it worked. If you're trying to VNC to a Windows 10 laptop with the lid closed, and are getting the black screen unless you raise the lid, this may be your answer. It's worked for many others, and it worked for me. Take that Microsoft.

Using on a headless Kubuntu Plex Server so I can VNC into it from my laptop and iPad without the black-screen-o-death. There are dozens of other “fixes” that never stick or don’t work correctly, but this ultimately allows me to set the resolution of the VGA port and, since it’s always connected, that resolution is presented to VNC when I log in.

PRO:

1. Really is a 3-pack. Great value. I wasn't sure. Yes, the picture stated it, but nothing in the text did.
2. Works as advertised as far as monitor emulation.

CON:

Does not have the thumb screws. Again, the picture states that, but the text does not.

I can't imagine why I'd want a 3-pack of "quick-release" VGA dummy plugs, but I'm sure there are folks that do. If do, this is your solution! For me, I have no use for plugs that have potential to fall out if the device is accidentally disturbed.

Plug and play, they work as advertised. Just make sure you remember to enable onboard graphics only on the mobo if you plan to hook it up there.

These are not built correctly.

There should be THREE 75 Ohm resistors in this device and these only have ONE. Should be 1 resistor for each color RGB. a resistor across 1-6, 2-7, and 3-8. In THAT configuration, each output has a proper load on it. THESE did not work.
My Homebrew ones, made from a DB15HD, 3 - 75 Ohm resistors and a cheap plastic hood for a total cost UNDER $1.75 Work perfectly.
Maybe newer video cards can tolerate a single resistor, But the machines I am using these for are each 6+year old tech.
