After trying lots of purple shampoos, which haven't worked, I had high hopes for this one, after reading all the good reviews. Just tryed it and it hasn't made any difference. I'm very dissapointed. Admitted my hair is awkward, having just brassy blonde streaks mainly underneath and very dry porous ends, which end up purple if I'm not careful. Not giving up on it just yet. It seems to work for most people, think it might just my hair that's very resistant to purple shampoos !!!
What a disappointment, don't waste your money on this hair product. Having read the previously very good reviews I was expecting an almost miracle product, that would turn my already highlighted and slightly brassy hair into a silver tone head of glory... WRONG. All it did was make my hair (especially the ends), very dry and straw-like. It only covered the already quite heavily highlighted blonde hair leaving a slightly purple hue reminiscent of the elderly folks love of 'the purple rinse look', yet left the orange brassey hair that I tend to have near the sides above my and ears and then right underneath near the nape. My hair felt like over-processed straw, despite using a good conditioner. Never again. Might as well have thrown £8.45 in the bin. Plus, like other reviewers have mentioned, it will stain your fingers, nail beds and bath if you don't wear gloves/remove drips immediately from any impregnable surface. The worst hair product I have ever bought, and that's saying something!
So, the product works, it took the brassiness away and I got compliments about looking like a fresh trip to the hairdressers... BUT it’s NOT a shampoo it’s a dye based toner of which a patch test is required! The warnings were hidden by a label!!! I used on two different occasions with the same outcome. I used it in the shower as I normally do with shampoo in the shower, but it’s caused a burn reaction all around my neck, as well as down my arms. It’s dry and itchy now 5 days later, whereas it was risen and blistered within hours of the ‘shampoo’ being in contact with my skin. Please be super cautious when using this.
Seemed to take most of the yellow out but not all. Some parts were still a bit orange as well so I may try the no more orange shampoo. It smells nice. It leaked out in the box during transit so didn't have a full bottle so lost stars for presentation and value for money. Seems this is a common problem as per other reviews so maybe the seller needs to have a look into a way to avoid this
Horrible product! Left on my hair for a minute and had to shampoo it with a different shampoo to try and take away the purple hue it left on my hair. Even after this my hair had a horrible greyish, purple tinge to it. Goodness only knows what colour my hair would have been if I had left it on for longer!
So I read reviews about the product being spilled everywhere- mine came In a plastic bag and no leaks or spills! I’d recommend using gloves when using this- I had purple hands for dayssssss! It worked great as a toner too! Very potent! The only thing that puts me off buying again is the smell- I really really hated it! It smelt most bizarre!
This shampoo does what it says, but unlike other similar ones I have used in the past, it leaves my hands, nils, nail cuticles and hair scalp tinted for at least 2 full days, days of thorough hand washing and sanitising.
