This team game is tough, stressful and at times can seem hopeless. Which is exactly what you want from a Lovecraftian horror game! Feels really satisfying to beat. Has some weird mechanics though, like it can sometimes be better for you to deliberately kill your own investigator to get a new one, which comes with starting items. Odd, but not game-breaking.
my brother loves these games and highly recommends them, thankfully now too the makers are beginning to include the much needed clear plastic click lock bags for the cards, so they're kept in mint condition.
A great board game - takes a little while to master but once you get going its very entertaining. A cooperative game where the 'good guys' don't always win (in fact so far it seems they rarely do) but still good fun.
Great game! Much easier to understand than the original Arkham Horror boardgame. Very difficult when playing solo, my fave is 2 players. I like that depending on which investigators you are, which Ancient you are fighting, and which adventures you get the game varies a lot in difficulty and time. This makes it more fun to play often, as you still get variety. A few points took a bit longer to understand, like the terror effects on adventures, but I think we've got it now.
