Fast delivery, which is always a blessing when you run out of pouches at short notice! At first I thought they weren't as good as another brand I had used, but I have to say they were so much easier to open and the little arrows printed on them ensure you don't feed them into the laminator the wrong way. Excellent idea! (the arrows "melt" away when the pouches go through the laminator). Good value for money, I'd say!
Ordered these at 80 Micron thickness, but they are thinner and of a poorer quality than Tesco Value Laminating pouches of the same grade, disappointed really, wouldn't order them again. I'll be going back to the Tesco Value product
I appreciate this is an entry level machine but it is ABSOLUTE CRAP. Despite using Fellowes laminator pouches, and following the manufacturers manual impeccably, after the first (successful) lamination the machine starts to jam. Then you have to unplug and allow it to cool down before attempting another (single) lamination before it jams YET AGAIN. I purchased this machine because I respected the manufacturer. No more, I’m afraid. I bitterly regret this purchase. DON’T BUY. You will regret parting with your hard earned cash.
Maybe you are wondering why you should choose this product over another. It's definitely not the cheapest and the thickness is fairly standard at 80 micron. Let me tell you. They work PERFECTLY. What does that actually mean? Te best way to explain that is to tell you what they DON'T DO. They don't curl up. Nor do they jam in the laminator. You won't get creases or crinkles and they appear to not be static (picking up dust).
What you get is what you want. Great results every time. That way what ever you laminated doesn't end up looking worse than when you began. Buy with confidence and get great results to be proud of. By the way I am laminating advertising posters and I have a lot to do so this review is based on many laminates and an inexpensive laminating machine.
They are not very thick, perfect for f everyday things like photos or childrens homework Sometimes it bends when using it but maybe it is because of my laminator but it is perfect for children's homework or thing that you dont need to be perfect.
Brought to use with my Fellows laminator. It can be a bit fiddly to open and line up the paper but essentially does what it says it does. I was concerned that in one side it is written on with the product name however once it goes through the laminator this is no longer seen.
I have used these pouches for the last couple of years and they are of a good quality and produce repeatably excellent results. No wastage, perfect laminations every time. I haven't tried others as a comparison but I have no reason to change them for another brand in the future. Recommended!
The 80 micron pouches are fine for most documents. The A4 size pack measures 22,5 cm x 1,8cm x 31 cm = 1,255 Litres. The box that the item was delivered in measured 26cm x 11 cm x 60 cm = 17,16 Litres, that is big enough to fit 13,66 or one dozen of these packs. My recycling bin is now full of this unnecasary packaging!
I would normally trim the A4 sheet to create a thicker weld around sheet but on the thinner pouches that makes them difficult to feed into laminator. My first attempt was a bit of a disappointment have trimmed the paper sheet, my second attempt was a success having left the paper untrimmed.
