Ballantine's Finest Blended Scotch Whisky in light gold colour is slightly sweet with a touch of vanilla. It is blended with signature Scottish malts and grains and aged for many years. The result is an exceptional drop that is both smooth and satisfying. Nose:- Soft, elegant, heather honey aromas with a hint of spice. Taste:- A balance of subtle, sweet flavours like milk chocolate, red apple and vanilla. Finish:- Fresh and floral after-taste that creates a rounded glow. Perfect for mixing to start the night.

I really enjoy Ballantine's.. I find it has a great bang for buck ratio and I'm not remotely a Whiskey snob so I don't care when people judge me for drinking a blend. I also like to drink it with cola.. usually Vanilla Coke as the heathen I am.
this tastes good enough for mixing when I'm feeling stingy, for this price is super cheap and taste pretty good abit sweet, overall comes as expected glass bottle sealed would recommend for those on a budget and want to mix - personally I like coke with my drinks

I was given a bottle of this whisky as a present and since then have purchased several bottles. Rather than being a single malt this is apparently blended from more than 50 single malts as well as 4 single grain whiskies. The result is a very smooth, pleasant tasting whisky, and in my opinion superior to many of the more expensive, low end (£20-30) single malts. As a gimmick the screw thread on the bottle is plastic, rather than glass, and so unscrewing the top is a "quietly smooth" experience which is a foretaste of the drink. I drink it straight or with a drop of water, but I would expect it to be excellent in cocktails. It usually retails at £22, but can often be found on offer at £15. My advice would be to give this whisky a try, and if like me you like it, stock up when it's on offer.
Conclusion: For £15-£16 it's worth getting a bottle but I've seen it at £20 when you can find better for that in my opinion. The Lidl and Aldi own whisky is actually very nice and usually goes from £12-£20. If you're looking for a cheap easy drinking whisky then this is a good bet. I'd buy it again but only at £16 max.

I have been exploring the cheep whiskeys to find the cheapest and most palatable of them all. I was drinking Jonny Walker's Red label for a while at £16 it was decent. I then moved on to Shackleton’s because the local Co-op had it on offer for £20 and I preferred it to the Red Label. Ballantines is considerably smoother than both, its very slightly smoky but above all the rich, caramel experience is dangerously moorish as it's smooth texture trickles over the back of your tongue. For £15 it's a winner! I've tasted whiskey twice as expensive as this that I would reject in its stead. Definitely recommended I'll be surprised if you can find a better whiskey in this price range!

Dear Amazon - I’m using this as a hopeful means of contacting Amazon since contact by customers makes talking to a brick wall much easier.
Regarding signing for liquor, I’m a cripple looked after by Carers part of the day who could sign for me. At other times it’s impossible for me to answer the door. Consequently, can Amazon make an exception and deliver liquor without signature at all times? Do let me know, please. Otherwise I shall get Carers to buy liquor from supermarkets who are more competitive at present. Do you think you could manage an email reply to me?
