The Blackberry Cobbler flavor is repulsive. I took a few sips and dumped it out - which has never happened before..I promptly searched out every Blackberry Cobbler in the box and threw them in the trash. I would normally put them by the Keurig machine in the break room to see if perhaps a coworker would like them...but I did not wish to inflict this abhorrent flavor on anyone. It tastes artificial - does not emulate blackberries and/or cobbler in anyway. It tastes like what I imagine chomping into a blackberry Glade Plugin would taste like.
I ended up giving some of the cups to a friend as a gift and she loved them as well.
Here's the thing. These are K-Cups people. Temper all expectations. K-cups are inherently weak compared to pour-over or other coffee brewing methods. If you like super-strong coffee, you shouldn't be drinking K-cups, okay? K-cup machines don't have perfect temperature control or flow control.
Also, you're drinking flavored coffee, you probably don't want jet fuel. If you're drinking flavored coffee, you also don't need to use the best beans in the world as the flavors would overpower great beans anyway.
So if you are looking for flavored coffee K-cups where you can drink 3 cups a morning set at 10oz without getting yourself the jitters and the shakes, these are GREAT. Awesome price per K-cup and quality/cost is top notch.
My wife and I have tried all of the variety packs Victor Allen makes on Amazon and have yet to find a single one we didn't like. These are economically priced in decent variety packs that offer a great value per cup with some honestly good flavors. Are they the strongest? No. But they're also really not that expensive compared to other options.
And that's your review. For the cost per K-cup, these are my go-to, and my order history proves it. They aren't "great coffee" and that's okay because we're all busy and sometimes K-cups are just super convenient.
Cinnamon Roll is delightful. Truly. Cream and sugar make the perfect complement.
Apple Crumb is DREADFUL. Cream does NOT go with this flavor at all, in any capacity. The apple is what I was most excited for, and that was a mistake. It's like drinking hot earthy apple juice. Nothing redeemable.
Pumpkin Spice is too spicy. Sugar makes it a bit better, but you'd have to LOAD it, to lose the some spice. Pumpkin spice is supposed to have a hint of spice, not taste like 90% nutmeg. Gross.
Pecan pie (or whatever it's called) is too bitter. Sugar helps a bit, but again, if you don't want a quarter cup of sugar in eight ounces of coffee.... just gross.
The cinnamon roll flavor gets three stars on its own, the rest are garbage. You might like the pecan if you like BITTER, and you might like the pumpkin spice if you want it to burn. I don't know WHO would like the apple, but to each their own.
