Product description
Review
"This gorgeous coffee table-worthy cookbook from the dashing Australian chef and host of Cooking Channel's "Passport To Asian" strikes the perfect balance between beauty and brains. The National Geographic-style color photos are visually breathtaking and the interesting-but-doable recipes will have your travel hound friends reaching for their passports, with a slight detour to the kitchen of course." This book has traditional dishes made in a modern and contemporary way. It's a fantastic book.
Love Luke's books, they are easy and simple to follow and yet very complex.

Great recipes but poor layout

Great set of recipes that are easy to follow. The ice cream in particular has been a big hit in my house. I believe it accompanies a TV series so there is a fair bit of travelogue style writing about what he cooked in a certain place, which I was indifferent to. My only criticism is the layout: there is no index and no list of recipes and the book is arranged by region. So if you're interested in a soup, for example, you need to go through every page to check.

Vietnamese cooking made in heaven!!

What a most wonderful book, it makes you feel as though you are there in Vietnam, cooking these amazing recipes. This fantastic book has lots of easy to follow recipes but also one has the stories of the regions, so one learns the cultural and fun side of Vietnam, I highly recommend this beautiful cookery book to anyone who loves Vietnamese cookery. The lead up text to the recipes is so absorbing and the photography of the dishes and the country are super. I am going on holiday early next year to Hoi An so was over the moon with the chapter on Hoi an, it gave me a brilliant insight to this region, Thankyou Luke.

I bought this as a gift for my son’s birthday. He loves to cook and has just returned from Vietnam. My son was inspired by Luke Nguyen’s tv series. This book is large, thick and heavy and beautifully made with great photos, lovely stories and delicious recipes!

What a book. I will be keeping this on the coffee table. Inspiring to see the way Luke travels and talks about the things he sees. The recipes are a bonus and the photos are very nice. I really enjoyed the tv show as well.

Bought for my daughters partner, and he was very surprised how big the book was, and also much of the food in it, was the food they had when they were in Vietnam last year.
